Una bella Lefaucheux 1858! La avevano anche i Carabinieri. La portava mio bisnonno maresciallo. Credo però che già negli anni 40 reperire le munizioni fosse difficile.

A beautiful Lefaucheux 1858 style revolver indeed, but not an ordnance weapon. This one is a late 19th century Belgian made gun for the private market. A good item for sure, but also much more cheaper than, for example, a genuine 1858 made for the French navy... Anyway, it could be now make many collectors happy !

Late 19th century Belgian made Lefaucheux style pinfire revolver. A quite common item, but this one is in a rather good condition, not so easy to find now. And a very good restoration job ! I only think three coats of blueing is not enough, each time I make a reblueing, I use to apply at least 6 to 7 coats. A long process, but worth the job, believe me !

Very good asmr video. Wish it is so short

i remember seeing a video where they made pinfire ammo. A small rod was passed through a hole drilled in the wall of a fired case. on the inside was a priming cap from a muzzle loading gun. pin was sealed with a very small bit of super glue and a light powder charge and projectile was loaded into the cartridge as normal.

That is wonderful. It looks much better than before. Great work, even though you were not able to find the right ammo for it.

The barrel seems fine, it is not a high caliber, there are really few chances that thing would blow-off.

I just took a file to my 12mm pinfire, it was really pitted, , I might nickel plate it , or blue it , not quite sure yet , still working on it lol

the only thing I would not recommend is a wire brush they cause scratches. I would use chems and scotchbrite or a polishing wheel.

Mind sharing some pin-fire ammo with us poor mortals, mate? Testing such old firearms is impossible unless you can find - and afford - said ammo.

Pinfire rounds aren't hard to make once you get a shell that fits.

Pistola ottocentesca le cui munizioni non vengono più prodotte dai tempi dell'ultima guerra: o trovi munizioni vecchie come le due che hai (sperando che funzionino ancora visto che la polvere nera e il primer che han dentro si degradano col tempo) oppure te le fai da solo modificando munizioni calibro 45 ACP (ci sono anche i tutorial online per farlo, non sarebbe male farci un video su se hai tempo visto che le pinfire sono munizioni molto rare e fanno views).

tre cose: a 2:07 sono cascate le palle a me per lo sbattimento, non oso immaginare a te, a lucidare tutta la canna a mano. a 6:43, anche con il video in muto, si sentono le madonne che avete tirato per riassemblare tutto. 7:49 nella restaurata, la guida per l'asta togli bossoli è montata a rovescio: svista o fatto apposta perchè tanto l'arma non verrà usata per sparare quindi "sticazzi"?
