Well that bites. Definitely could have been worse. At least you are ok and it didn’t get folded up on you. I do love those bucket seats and steering wheel. This is one of the cleanest LS installs out there. 👍

Not the update I was expecting when I got the KZread notification. Glad you're OK. I feel the pain as the exact same thing happened to me. I had the blazer bumper also. Looks like everything is repairable but finding that bumper and impact strip as you know will be a challenge. Total bummer on the cab damage. Hope your over the stress of the nightmare soon. Nice upgrades on the truck. Don't be a stranger here. Keep us in the loop man. We love you and Gumby.

WOW,that really sucks. Stuff always happens whenever you get it just the way you want it, Insurance from the other person should be payinf for everything! They will have to send your truck to a paint/body to be repaired sooooo you should be able to throw in some money and have you truck completely painted. Or you get the money and do everything youreslf. You could alway pay your painted friend to do it. Anyway good luck with everything. I'm starting my 98 S-10 and have watched all you videos and have learned alot.

Tommy, nooooo!!! Dude, I'm so sorry that happened to you. I'm sure Gumby will be back, the way you want it, in short order though. Happy to see you posting, be safe out there man.

Glad you’re alright man. You decline a total-loss claim and have them give you their bast settlement offer. It may not cover 100%, but will come very close, especially with you doing most the labor yourself. I had to do that a few years ago with a Jeep that got rear ended. You might want to confirm it’s the same way in Georgia with your 8 surname company, but I’m fairly certain you can decline a total-loss.

Wow, Gumby got pinched! Dang! All looks repairable. I hope you can find what you need local to you to save shipping costs. I wish the circumstances were better but I (we) are glad to see your face again!

That is a bummer.... I built a 92 S10 Blazer for my kid and I know how hard it is to find decent parts. I drove 23 hours round trip to get a decent replacement dash and some interior parts. I would like to think there is a place out there that has lots of these square body S10's just sitting around for parts but I have never found one. If you come across any place like post it or let me know. Good luck on the rebuild.

I've been in collision repair for 10ish years now and you should be fine with someone else's insurance paying, not to say you wouldn't have to come out of pocket some especially if you would like an oem tailgate, they will try aftermarket low buck blah everything, but that's how policies are writin. No real way around it. Not sure about Georgia but Alabama totals vehicles at 75% of market value /nada value but that could work in your favor also because clean examples of s10s have shot up in value. Other notes, make sure you deal with a shop that you trust, maybe bring your insurance agent in for advice

But that is not a 1993 s10 grill. The 1993 s10 grill is a one year only part. Also I do paint and body work, I live in Snellville if you need help. My first truck was a 1993 s10 single cab and I miss it so bad! lol. I painting my 1995 s10 now from red to black. ALSO it is not a total loss unless the frame is bent!

Damn! I followed this build very closely! Hate to see this man😮 I do have a question.. how does the , clutch feel compared to stock feel now that you've been driving it? Does the clutch engage close to stock as the s10 with v6?

You shouldn't be on the lookout for anything. You got hit, let her insurance fix the truck. Or, take a settlement to pay for fixing it. Hope you find a tailgate, I had to buy one from LMC because they are rare and when I did find one, they wanted $500 for it. Not worth it.
