Great Video! I would also recommend to consider to downsize some of your setup if possible. For example using lighter weighing guitars, using a that quilter Amp pedal to plug into the PA vs a bunch of Amp cabs, etc. The slightest instance of clumbsines can ruin your back permanently regardless of how much you work out. Thanks for the reminder!

Yup I hear you! But I'm old school, I'll always have a guitar cab on stage! That 2X12 cab, the speakers in it are seperate. With my big pedal board, I run my Quilter SB UK to 1 speaker and my Quilter SB US to the other... Wicked!🤘😎

I've already lost all that physical ability with the spinal ailments that have emerged as the years passed. In High school, I was a competition gymnast. That alone took its toll on my body, but also did track & field competition and played hockey for the school team, oh ya also was on the basketball team. in college I trained in kung fu for 2 years. another grueling toll on the body. now I can still lift my guitars, do my grass cutting and snow clearing with wheel drive. I used to have the muscle mass you have but the years has wilted them away. Keep up the good work and I wish you longevity is all your passions.

Wow buddy you have been busy in your pre-guitar years hahah! That's awesome. Back issues are not fun at all. Many people I know Are going through it and it takes a toll... It's not about being elite, it's about doing what you can with what you got... All the mowing and snow blowing and yard work and home repairs you do, keep you functional and that is the goal! Thanks for the positive whishes ☺️

Hey my friend I hear ya. Unfortunately many North Americans are in the same boat. Take it gradually, get some steps in, use stairs when you can and cut out refined sugar from your diet and watch the lbs come off and the energy increase😀!

I'm turning 62 in August and I'm inspired by your video. I'm wondering where you purchased your pull up machine. It looks like it would be durable enough to hold a person my size. I'm currently 230 pounds (104 kg?) 6 foot in height (1.82 meters?). Anyway, I was just curious if that pull up machine is something sold everywhere (ideally on amazon where you got your nice pedalboard and guitars). I haven't seen that machine at any fitness store that I've been to here where I am in Southern California. Anyway, my body aches have increased as I've aged but I'm inspired to try to improve my health and your video was inspiring to see. Thank you for that.

Awesome video with some great inspirational information. You've got it right. I just wish that exercise made me feel good. I never get that feel good rush. I've been in the US Army and ran as far as 23 miles and it just about took me out. I wish the good part would happen for me. Exercising makes me feel terrible, all quivery and sick. Every time all of my life. Not sure why.

Thanks man! Hmmm that is strange indeed. Maybe it's just the training method that that your body doesn't respond well to. Some people prefer Teles, others LPs, others Strats... Just like some people prefer running, others lifting, others calisthenics or cross fit. I always tell my students, or clients, the workout needs to fit you and it's not about you fitting the workout. Doesn't matter what you do, so long as the intensity is present😉. Some people have a physical sensitivity (almost like an allergy) to lactic acid buildup in the body. Long bouts of lower intensity exercises like running create lactic acid production. I train in short bursts of high intensity movements. Enough to get the pump but with minimal LA if any! For me consistency is the key to feeling good.... If I get away from exercising for whatever reason, then start up again, I literally feel I'll after my workouts for days, until my body's muscle memory kicks in again, then it's all good. I guess it's my body telling me that I shouldn't stop! Hahahahaha!

@@j-man9457 I don't understand it either. It's just always been that way. I can go work in the yard and have to take a nap to feel normal afterwards. I've always been that way. Super bad headaches and just completely quivery and done. I do a few pushups, squat thrusts, and some trunk twisters then a couple of sets with my dumbbells almost every morning. I try to push it till just before I've done too much and stop. It's a slippery slope for me though. 😅😅

Yeah like everything else, I have worked up to what I do over time. As the body adapts to stress, I just increase it and make it harder... The actual exercise doesn't matter, you just need to do what you do on a regular basis so that your body becomes used to and adapts to the routine😀
