Hi Michael! I've just recently discovered your channel watching you react to Tommy Emmanuel - Classical Gas (which is one of my favourite guitar pieces ever) and catching up ever since, you have a wonderful way to explain stuff and a sincere passion for the guitar that speaks also to the non guitar players (but enthusiasts) like me. For another reaction, if I may, I'd suggest anything by Estas Tonne. My personal favourite is The song of the Golden Dragon. Unfortunately with him is not easy to find a video where you can always clearly see him play. But he's definitely worth it. Thank you for what you do and keep up the amazing work! (I wrote a lot and I'm not native so I hope I didn't slaughter the english language..lol)

I think much of what sets these two apart from even other great guitarists is the amount of practice they put in. I know Tommy mentions it in every interview he does. If we were a fly on the wall for a week in one of their houses, we mortals would blow our minds at how much they work on one song, let alone just warming up and practicing different techniques, and then trying to come up with new stuff. Talent, yeah, but these two work their fingers to the nubs. It amazes me how dexterous Tommy's fingers still are after having played for so long in his career.

I`m happy to see you speachless, because I´m too. And they have so much fun in thair faces.
Can’t get enough of these Mike Dawes vids. Hearing you talk about them is the icing on top 💙
Just to be That Good, I feel lucky just to be able to watch and listen to these two Guitar Greats, Tommy and Mike. Absolutely Awesome.
Its just too amazing to try and analyze these 2 genius guitar players in what they are doing. Just sit back and enjoy the moment. Mike also does some small retuning on the fly while playing the song. I could listen to these two guitarists all day. take care.
“How’d that B get in there?” Me: “THERE’S A BEE!!!??!!??”
Tommy is such a beast. Love his playing.
These guys are great!!!
Mike is out of control 😀... yes he is very professional, and a wonderful person btw, i love everything he puts out from music to podcast, everything. big up to Tommy to really let Mike shining on this one as you said😉
Two of the greatest acoustic guitar players on the planet - the expression on your face said it all.

Playing even two of the greatest chords
Mike can do things on a guitar that ive seen noone else do. Bloody amazing!!
Awesome review, thank you.
I just happened on your channel from your listening to the astounding video of Violet Grohl performing Amy Winehouse's "Take the Box". After having the nearly exact reaction, I just had to subscribe to your channel. Now you've turned me on to both Mike Dawes & Tommy Emmanuel - thank you so much for the best musical gifts I could have gotten this holiday! Going to go back to more of your KZread posts to enjoy more - appreciate what you bring to truly thoughtful music analysis & the true joy wonderful music brings to our hearts. :D
Just as u said, its just awsome🙂
one of your best reactions ever. love it.
I need to see a video on Mikes guitar and how he records it. Tommy drops bombs and knows it with that Dennis The Menace grin. Speechless.
Yeah, there's an F to A in there...and it's cool AF. Don't feel beat up, we love ya and what you bring us. Everyone learns something from it. 💕🙋🎶
Hey Mike, don’t forget what MC HAMMER once said ……. Can’t Touch This !!!!
I can’t even imagine being able to play like that. Thanks for this video, I’m going to go and crank that on a proper set of speakers now.
@Michael - you gave some words to it, for which I have only stomach feelings (including "how, how, how, how,..." ;-) by building Mike´s guitars - THANKS to YOU, great hugs to Mike and Tommy and as you said, don´t forget the background crew for GREAT Video and Audio! (check the permanent perfect set blue lights/colors) - PERFECT production! Myself just delivered the workhorse, it is MIKE DAWES who makes it "alive" ;-)

That thing sings so beautifully. You truly are an artist. Is the back un-scalloped? It has strong fundamental frequency & balanced on top of a wide range of overtones and overtones of overtones. Reminds me of Golden Era Gibson Just exquisite focus across all registers like the thing is a high end upright piano. I can tell its a labor of love to make something so fine.
Excellent playing and reviewing.
Made my day. Truly wonderful, wondrous & whooping wooha! 😀
Tommy is a national treasure, and it was fascinating to see him not shredding, just providing beautiful support to Mike's insanity :-D

Wow. Love this
Spent the whole peice smiling from ear to ear beautiful
Both of these two blow me away every video I watch. Honestly unreal.
Holy fucking shit! Just RIDICULOUS!!!! And you're right, Mike is out of control! I gotta go download this now. Be safe out there people! Good luck!
Reactions are priceless
I love that you dropped an F bomb. I am by no means a good player, but I marvel at these two talents! Unreal!
The B is from that "While my guitar gently weeps" progression by George Harrison (well it might not be by him originally, but I remember it most easily like that... Clapton also had a similar progression in one of his songs).
I give you all the love....from Norway....
7:08 "Welp..." Love your content man, I love the way you talk through the theory.
That was crazy good.
I agree with you, when i heard this, never saw this landscape.
Awesome job Mike
Took in the show last night at the Soiled Dove in Denver. Last of 4 nights there. Simply amazing. I thought to myself driving home how lucky I was to see them together.
Omg! I had chills!. Another amazing player is Andy McKee
Two of the best guitarists alive performing pure magic- thanks for doing this video Michael!!!
Saw these two pre covid and it was a great show.
Mike Dawes is NOT "out of control." He's absolutely IN control. He picks the spots to take his notes where he can reach them . . . music first.

I don't think that Michael is implying that MD is not in control, per se, he's just saying that his mind is blown by MD's playing - "perfect".
Magical!
Just great watching you analicing these gods :)
You know some amazing shit is happening when even Michael just sits in slack jawed amazement
I have seen the incredible Tommy perform 3 times. I also went to a Mike Dawes show 2 months ago and was equally mesmerized. I guess the only thing that could top that would be to see them perform together.
Yep, it's a piece of art!
That was fun. 🧚🏾♀️
background also matches YOUR guitar. somebody was REALLY on their game :)
Another great analysis video. I've never heard of Mike Dawes but will definitely look him up and teamed with Emmanuel, wow! How do you learn to play like this?
Awsm guitar man, got my sights on that one! :)
Mike you should check out his rig run-down too. What an amazing mind and player!
Hi Michael, Tommy Did a Tedx talk on youtube where he discusses his style. Its very insightfull, made me appreciate his music even more.
“You get beat up” lol I Agree. Feels like a punch in the face sometimes. You’ve given me a shiner or two haha
I love how flabbergasted Michael always is. Great.
Bro hope you have great day. Those fullas are good.
“Absolutely Fucking crazy” is exactly how to describe this
I confess that I have to slow the tempo down to get any of this to make sense. Humility reigns!🙏🏻
I know I am commenting a bit late on this one but did you notice Tommy throws in the diminshed type chord and Mike has a little smile then when Mike throws in the B aug or whatever it is Tommy has a big smile. It is almost like they are throwing in something unusual to try and throw each other off but in a good fun way and having some fun.
Had the exact the same reaction as you😅 great channel btw
