The "drive it off a cliff" metaphor is great. My (1,200ish ELO) recent blind spot I'm working to fix in my games is the: "hmm, I don't love any of my move possibilities, especially none of these three or four options I've been mulling for the last 15 seconds, I think this other move looks good" and I just play it without noticing a bishop on the other end of the board can just capture that piece -- or something similar. And then the game falls apart

at this point, "GUESS THE ELO IS BACK!!!" is a series on its own.
I like the system of taking breaks from guess the Elo and then doing a few episodes in a couples weeks. Makes it feel like an event.

It would be really cool to get the clock as well during the guessing part, it's hard to get a sense of how under pressure the players are otherwise.
There was a hint of joy, as if sorrow and depression was over. And also a burst of excitement in the opening stare
I was rewatching the GTE playlist this week and a new episode just drops out of the blue. Thank you Levy.

Guess the ELO is always peak entertainment. Favorite series on the internet lol
Levy never fails to randomly upload a new gte episode in a period of 1-35 months and surprise everyone
Been watching out for the return of this series everyday.
Finally bro, this is going to be another revived series and I hope there is many more gte episodes as the series was very entertaining, especially for myself.
You cannot fathom how entertaining GTE is even for a 2000 rated player. I've rewatched all of the GTE at least 5 times each, super educational and high quality, keep it up!
Listen I was at your book signing in Barnes and Nobles In New Jersey and I want to say It was a pleasure meeting you and having my book signed. Im very glad you decided to bring back Guess The Elo because your channel is amazing and I hope you can continue doing this signed necklace kid.
Levy never fails to not fail
This is by far the best series!! Please keep posting!
Your song at the end of the first game directly after the voice discussing high level side lines has had me laughing for over 4 hours and I need to call my doctor 😅
Finally I’ve been waiting forever. Thank you Gotham! We need more GTE
Honestly guess the elo should hire GothamChess!

Long overdue. Very happy to see this format back 👍

Love how Gothamchess never fails to include Levy in his videos!
Im ngl I watch these and study the positions sometimes for fun, listening to levy scream about mistakes is great motivation to not make the same errors
16:00 there are other ways to play against the Dragon besides the Yugoslav attack! Many players (World Champion Karpov among them) preferred to play classically against the dragon and castle kingside.
Keeping GTE somewhat rare and uploading only occasionally keeps the content super interesting and I am always looking forward to every episode.
Levy's laughter is contagious
Levy! I just picked up your book from my local bookstore. It's so informative! I'm hoping it will help me on my Chess journey! Thanks!

Missed this! was playing chess less and less and this is what i needed
the car analogy had me dying
I watched all the GTE and keep watching them every day. Finaly new one
Levy never fails to fail at failing to fail at failing.
The thing about intermediate and sometimes about advanced players is that they can be extremely unstable. Some part of the game can be played at the highest level, with an almost complete understanding of what is happening, and then they can just blunder a piece in one move with absolutely no reason
your other analysis videos are good but this is what im here for good to be back
Stockfish: sees black getting mate threats, position is +7 also Stockfish: olny solution is to sacrifice the queen and hope
Had been thinking lately 'I'd really like a new Guess the Elo', so this is awesome.
