Guard Retention & Pass Prevention | Jiu-Jitsu Strategies & Principles
Спорт
Having a powerful and versatile guard in jiu-jitsu is a necessity, and without the ability to retain that guard and prevent people from passing it, you won't have very much success with sweeps or submissions. This video addresses concepts, strategies and techniques for preventing a variety of guard passes. I hope you find it useful. Thanks as always for watching!

Thank you. I'm a white belt and this video has answered so many questions.
Such a good video thanks!!
Thank you sooo much, Sensei!
Love the content, you always strive to make things simple. For white belts like myself, I think it is always better to learn a few simple things, practice it, and build on it with time. Will try these next rolling session
Thank you for sharing your techniques.
Thank you so much

Esse última foi muito muito top. Pensei que iria para o Arm Lock 11 como o Sr sempre faz ( pernas cruzadas no pescoço ) , mas o Sr foi para o triângulo. Bakana demais. Oss !!! Brazil

Great vid Eli!!!!! The guard pull all white belts are taught where we grab their go and one foot on their hip and then pull them down. Are there any ways to use this basic guard pull but make little changes to pull off something better than just pulling them into guard.

@@KnightJiuJitsu it's my pleasure! I greatly appreciate what you are doing and sharing your knowledge. I've been to Glasgow a small beautiful town in KY. I'm in south Florida I train with a black belt who kicks my ass all the time but I wouldn't trade it for the world. What a great art! Be safe and be well and thanks again for your material.
