You have strangely low scores on both cards. Generally, each of these games will get a minimum of 75 frames in settings close to the maximum appropriate for the type of card, i.e. without RTX on 1660S.

@@nexnexnex8261 I can't agree with that friend. Both GPUs are running at 100% and Maximum Power Consumption (which means them can't work faster than that without overclocking), also, both GPUs are not overkill for 1080p gaming, for that, the 4060 Ti is more appropriate. You can get higher frames on 4060 in recent titles since it is a new GPU but 1660 Super is a GPU from 2019, the GPU has a lot of difficulties running recent games on higher settings and some games struggles even on Medium, like Alan Wake 2 and Hellblade 2, especially without any upscaling technologies such as FSR. If you have any reference or videos proving your point, I would be glad to watch it.

at the end of the day if you have a 1660 super , you can still play

I upgraded my 1660 super to 6700xt, now i wanna buy 7800xt or 4070 super

I personally would upgrade 1660 super to something like 4070 if your system is compatible with that card because buying 8 GB card nowadays is not really smart. But if your budget is tight and you don't prefer AMD then 4060 might be worth considering, especially if you can sell your 1660 super and add a bit money to buy 4060. At least you will have some good technologies except maybe for Ray-Tracing.

Of course it’s worth it. I’m playing Dragon’s Dogma 2 with path tracing and graphics set to Ultra (only shadows on High) at 4K using DLSS ultraperformance and FG. It’s running smoothly at a solid 60 frames per second with a frame cap at 30 fps and 85% GPU utilization. The AI processing is incredible.

Probably the game's fault, if your GPU Usage is maxed out and power consumption as well, that's just a more demanding moment of the game.

Hi friend, unfortunately, that is exclusive to the channel. If I send the overlays I make here, there will be a lot of people using it in their videos and it would become quite generic.

if you want the same power usage go for it lol no need to upgrade power supply. i would go from 1660 super to a 4070 super, if the price was right. it is nice to see that they are power efficient though.

Me ajuda ai, to com uma 1660 super, Ryzen 5 4600g, e uma fonte 450w da Gigabyte, to cogitando trocar a placa para uma 4060, sei que o TPD dela é mais baixa que da 1660 super 1660 super é 125w 4060 é 115w Vc me recomenda trocar a fonte ou posso trocar a placa tranquilamente? As duas usa apenas um conector de 8 pinos. Se puder ajudar agradeço.

Muito boa as 1660s, Eu tava com a 1660s tuf 3, da asus, agora peguei uma rx6750xt. pra joga 1080p não tem placa melhor que a 1660s.

The 1660S proved itself perfectly ! Considering its price and availability on the secondary market ! It is quite enough for the resolution of my monitor (1680/1050).. and if you also reduce the graphics settings to medium-high, then a stable 60 frames are guaranteed ! I do not plan to update the video card, as I increasingly play games from previous years.. The novelties of the gaming industry are not encouraging.

I think if you play game with 2k resolution it probably fine

And there will be a comparison of the 2060s and 4060. Because now, in my opinion, it's easier to pay a little extra and buy this card than to suffer from the 1660s

I bought a 1660Ti when 1070 was recommended, and a 4060 when 2080 was recommended. It makes no sense to say that 8GB is insufficient when games that use 12GB of VRAM are used, whether 2160P or 1080P. Games that recommend 2080 are unpopular for being heavy, and they will support DLSS3+FG or FSR3+FG, and even if the ASA is 4060, it will be enough to run Assassin's Creed Odyssey on a 1660Ti if it is 1080P. Well, this won't be a problem until the 6060 comes out.

What about Radeon RX 6600/6600 XT?

6600 XT is 10% slower and the RX 6600 is 25% slower.

ofc everyone plays with Ultra graphic settings. I mean, if 1660 can give 60+ fps on medium settings, then there is no reason for upgrade, unless you have a ton of spare money.

O problema da 4060 é ter 8GB de VRAM, se ela tivesse 12GB igual a 3060, eu pegaria ela tranquilamente, mas 8GB de VRAM hj em dia tá apertando já, acho que prefiro investir um pouco mais e se pá pegar uma da AMD como uma 6750xt ou até 7700XT pra ter uma folga de VRAM.

peguei a 6750xt por 2070 reais, em 10x sem juros já. Um monstro de placa que ganha não apenas da 4060 mas também da 4060Ti. Problemas com driver que o pessoal comenta não existe. Já joguei mais de 45 jogos diferentes, de 2016 até 2024 e nenhum deu absolutamente NENHUM problema ou erro com driver. Melhor troca q já fiz na vida foi abandonar a Nvidia.

@@viniciusantunes5361 do mesmo jeito que a Nvidia. A geração RX6000 concorre com as RTX3000. As RTX 3000 usava Muita energia, mais do que as RX6000. Então, não, ela não consome muita energia não. Concorrente de 4060 e 4070 é as RX7000, n 6000, amigo. As 7000 consome bem menos energia, igual as 4000... Só saber o minimo sobre os produtos oferecidos que vc entende isso.

Ainda tenho a 1660 super e jogo o GTA 5 em 1440p com tudo em ultra com FPS entre 70 e 80fps

At first I planed to upgrade from 1660super to 4060 but I changed my mind because it can't even beat 3060Ti without fake frames. I know that Nvidia conquer the GPU market and can do whatever they want but this is too disgusting. Upscaling is great but Frame Generation is a fraud. It is good to have but the boasted FPS should not based on it.

Entendo que uma diferença de 10 FPS não é a mesma coisa quando uma GPU está rodando a 20 FPS e a outra a 10 FPS, em comparação com quando uma está rodando a 90 FPS e a outra a 80 FPS. Não fiz os cálculos exatos, mas com base em algumas estimativas, essa foi a menor diferença entre todos os jogos testados. Houve um momento em que uma GPU estava fazendo 43 FPS e a outra 54 FPS. Essa diferença é relativamente pequena em comparação com resto. Acho que isso deixa claro meu ponto, Geraldao.

@@tvcultural68 Ah sim, entendo. Isso acontece até mesmo se for comparar a 4060 com minha 4070 Super. No médio a 4060 roda na casa dos 60fps em média, minha 4070 Super fica na casa dos 65fps no Alto (isso em 1080p). É um jogo que escala bem mal mesmo com GPUs mais fortes, depende muito de Frame Generation pra ficar legal na maioria das placas.

So whats the sense of this video!? We all know that a current video card is faster than a 5 year old. Whats next: rtx 3080 vs. 8800 gtx. ?? Sorry for the harsh words,but i think you can do better.

Hi friend, as the title says "Worth Upgrading?", everyone knows RTX 4060 is faster than 1660 Super, but how much? This is the purpose of the video, when I got the 4060 GPU, a lot of people asked if it was worth it to upgrade coming from 1660 Super and here they will get the answer. It depends a lot on graphics settings, a 1660 Super isn't enough to run a lot of the recent games at 60fps at High Preset, some of them can't get more than 40fps in Medium Settings, like Alan Wake 2, Hellblade 2 gets a bit more than that.

Gaming in 1985, start console or Msx and have fun.. Gaming in 2024, how many frames do i have.. 😂 think about this 👍 I dont buy this anymore, waste of time and money

Like Silverwerewolf said, that's because of the TAA. If you got an RTX GPU and a 1440p monitor, I recommend using DLSS Quality, unfortunately, RDR2 doesn't have good AA methods for 1080p.
