@HomesliceDrummer it's not all about weight and moving parts...modern auto and dct transmissions utilize power more efficiently and this is manifested in superior performance. I grew up on manual transmissions and up until this last decade I preferred manuals...its just not a logical choice anymore

The GT500 did pretty well considering it was down 100 horsepower and had more weight.

Josh Ward whats to be sorry about? If manuals are offered but nobody buys them, its their choice, Lambos, Porshes, Ferraris and McLarens are all European car brands and they offer only automatics. At least, high performance American cars are still offered with manual tranies.

GT350 also got the driver mod, those were some nice shifts

I'd still rather have the reliability and flexibility of the GT500 with a compression ratio that better suits forced induction and pump fuel.

Clearly you do not know anything about engines. The 5.2 flat crank is a far superior engine to the coyote 5.0 and will last far longer in lifespan

Gt350 for the manual all the way. I’m never getting an automatic

GT350R with the blower for the true enthusiast. Even with the supercharger the 350R is significantly lighter than the 500. It eats it on the straights as we see here and would kill it even more in the corners. Plus the proper Tremec manual transmission. Obviously the Hennessey kit is heavy on the wallet, but there are cheaper high quality supercharger setups that will easily get you to match the power on the GT500, while retaining the more nimble potential of the 350R. But if you can afford it, Hennessey FTW.

Glad to a manual dusting a DCT but the GT350 will always be my favorite mustang

Both amazing vehicles. Upgraded intake with a custom tune in the GT500 and the GT350 would be a great match up.

Gt350 makes me feel all warm and fuzzy inside! Definitely take that over any new car today. No supercharger needed. The sound and the experience not too mention more then enough performance to satisfy me. Both awesome rides tho😍

@@saltyfloridaman7163 I think the only thing the gt500 has over the 350 is the front end. if you see one from the back or the sides it looks like a super ultra rad fan boi normal 5.0 car with a snake on it. the 350 looks wayyy better from all other angles other than the front.

Ehh, everything: GT500 Predator > Voodoo, much more reliable platform than the death rattle Voodoo. GT500 with pulley, tune, CAI, TB, exhaust will also make close to 1000 rwhp without ever removing the stock supercharger. GT500 FTW and it ain’t close

Gt500 have flat pane crank? Is 350 higher rpm because of flat or mods?

What do you guys do to fix the vibration issue of the flat plane crank causing say the oil filter backing out on the GT350? What about those owners who had ring land issues? I assume bolting on a blower and making over 750+ at the wheels would exacerbate these issues. Do you address anything other than just adding a blower, fuel system, tuning, etc.?

The on reason the filters were backing out was because dealers were installing them incorrectly and not torquing them down to the very specific 18lb ft. Some were just being cranked on hand tight for instance. MY 2017's had a different canister layout but that was the only anomaly.

Cali FPC is trash. It introduces A ton of second order vibrations that makes for an unreliable combo when power climbs. Any power advantage it provides is also minuscule in the overall scheme. Predator > Voodoo, all day every day.
