@@josephtaylor1330 I just bought the GT 350R, they are 105,000.00 you cannot get them for MSRP like this gentlemen suggested. The GT 350R is a drivers car not for people who just want the easiest car to drive.

The 350 is just cooler. It looks better because the 500s front end is over styled in my opinion, it's way lighter, it sounds way better and it's a stick. The 500 only has it beat in the straight line speed department and that's not a big deal. I've driven the 350 and ridden in the 500. The 350 is more raw and analog and is what they call a true driver's car. 500 is just a muscle car beast that can take the turns pretty well for what it is. The 350 feels like a fast sports car.

Great video buddy! As a 2020 GT350 owner, the flat plane crank voodoo mated with the Tremec trans is the reason I chose this over the 500. From reviews. I believe the Carbon Fiber Track Pack lapped VIR faster than the base GT500. I see the CFTP as the GT500 "R". It would be awesome seeing you compair the CFTP with the GT350R and GT500 base. I will say that it's a lot more interesting seeing you run the roads than only straight line quarter mile runs. It seems the best way to compair the GT350R and GT500 is timed laps on a road course. In a MT comparison. Randy Pobst found the CFTP GT500 to be closer to a Supercar running against the Z51 C8 running 3 seconds faster laps at VIR. Road & Track test had the GT500 CFTP running equal lap times against the $189,000 Porsche 911 GT3-RS (With an estimated $40,000 dealership markup expected when it becomes available). The GT350R is basically built as a track car. Comfort is not what Ford was looking for when building it. Thanks for showing everyone that the Shelby GT500 is not a one trick pony. Comfortable daily driver, a 10 second quarter mile car and a strong track car. As much as I love the GT350R and it's amazing Voodoo engine. I see the GT500 being the better overall Supercar. No longer just a Mustang. Watching you drive it looks fast, but comfortable. Something you normally find in a car costing $80.000+ more.

We, car enthusiasts buying cars for it's car-driver's characteristics. What else you should buy car for? I mean, if the car drives you then there are other, better cars for this purpose(read Tesla). I purchased Shelby GT350 instead of GT500 for only one reason - GT350 hase MT and GT500 is DCT.

I owned three 66 Shelby GT 350s at the same time lots of racing , plus dirt Sprint cars, and motorcycles ,and am now at 73 years old going to buy a new one, am thinking seriously about the “R” 350. Was the Cage an option or standard in the R model? I’m currently driving a heavily breathed on Billy Boat exhaust and suspended , Adjustable Konis and large sway bars, urethane bushing kit C-5 because I’m 6’4” and it fits me. Looking forward to this next acquisition, great review as always , big fan! Thank you for your efforts.

Hey man very awesome and informative video! I had a 2016 GT probably 2-3 years ago and I loved the car that was my dream car. So I sold it and got myself a 2018 BMW M4 (automatic). The car is fun I’m not gonna lie but it’s not V8 stick shift fun if you know what I mean. So I’m getting rid of my M4 and getting another pony! I’m having a hard time deciding between the gt350 and the 350R. Besides the R being a lot lighter and the carbon wheels and stuff. What are other major differences between the both? And which would you chose personally. Thanks I’m advance!

Hey Austin! If you had a choice, would you go GT500, or current generation Super Snake Widebody? 825hp in a warrantied manual trans car sounds fun...

I'm looking at a 2017 GT350R. Do you guys think it's worth it over the 2020 GT500 which dealership are asking for markup of $25k?
