'thelensfalcon'® photographs platypuses in Werrikimbe National Park using the OM Systems OM-1 & M. Zuiko 150-400mm f4.5 TC1.25X Pro lens. The platypuses were active late in the day and into dusk, necessitating the use of high ISO and moderate shutter speeds. An EE-1 dot sight was used to facilitate rapid focus acquisition of platypuses that, typically, do not spend long on the surface between dives. 'thelensfalcon' considers the dot sight to be a valuable tool for opportunistic wildlife photography.
This educational video was created for the author's grandson to share with his friends at pre-school.
The video also features drone footage captured with a DJI Mavic Air 2. Pre-approval for the drone flights was obtained from NSW National Parks & Wildlife Service.
