Grounded is a survival game that can be played either in first-person or a third-person. In the game, the protagonist is shrunk to the size of an ant and must strive to survive in a backyard. In the game, the player character (Max, Willow, Pete or Hoops) needs to consume an adequate amount of food and water, or they will lose health due to starvation or dehydration respectively. The backyard is filled with various bugs and insects, such as spiders, bees, dust mites, and ladybugs. Different insects serve different purposes in the game. For instance, spiders are one of the game's apex predators that will hunt down the players, ladybugs can lead players to food sources, and aphids can be cooked and consumed for food. Players can also cut down grass to collect dewdrops. The game has an accessibility option for players who have arachnophobia, which allows players to decide how scary spiders are going to be in the game.
In 1990, Pete, Max, Willow, and Hoops are the latest four teenagers in a string of disappearances. The teens wake up to find themselves shrunken down to the size of a small insect and trapped in a backyard, but have no memory of how they were shrunk or how they ended up in the yard.
As the teens explore the yard, they come across recordings left behind by a scientist named Dr. Wendell Tully, who invented the SPAC.R, which can shrink objects and people. The teens discover that they are in fact in Dr. Tully's backyard and find the SPAC.R. However, the device malfunctions and causes an explosion in a nearby oak tree. The teens head over to investigate to the explosion and find an entire miniature lab built inside of the tree. Inside, they find Dr. Tully's robotic assistant, BURG.L. Unfortunately, the explosion damaged BURG.L's memory, so it cannot help them repair the SPAC.R until the teams recover its memory backup chips stored in Dr. Tully's labs scattered across his backyard. Despite its memory loss, BURG.L assists the teens by providing them blueprints and knowledge on how to survive in the wilderness and defend themselves from hostile insects.

This game seems interesting. Hey cool. Josh Brener is playing a robot. And Zachery Levi is a Mad Scientist.
They should make an animated series out of this. Like the game's story, it would be about five kids who wake up to find themselves shrunk down to the size of small insects and without any memory of how. After stumbling upon the malfunctioning SPAC-R, the Tree-Lab, and BRG-L, the series would follow the kids as they build, forage, and fight to survive in Dr. Tully's backyard - all while trying to remember how they were shrunk and figuring out how to get back to normal size.

I saw something that said one of the creators of a star wars show is now working on a grounded show
It's best when all four are together because their dialogue bounce off each other 🙂

And not just getting the whole story but actually finishing the game. Most people focus on the crafting side and base building of the game

@@glp the only thing I’m sad about is that I couldn’t boot up my old saves. Since they had been in Beta. However I was happy to find out there was an intro added and the whole story
From the thumbnail I was hoping for 4 delinquents doing missions after sneaking out at night.
Obsidian makes great open world games like The Outer Worlds. I’m still waiting for The Outer Worlds 2.

Do you know what the requirements are for the various endings? I can't find any info on it at all, and only just now hearing that theres "multiple endings" in the first place?

I know that you have to find and beat Dr. Schmector to get the good ending. If you don’t find and beat him you will get the bad ending

Stars is working on a show… well they are in development, if it gains traction then they will proceed with the next step
The background music at 11:47 I could never for the life of me figure out what it meant. When I heard it again after a few times I thought if a dangerous creature/insect was nearby or if the bugs are planning a raid on my base. Please, I need someone to tell me what it means lol.

From what I could tell; his body was still connected to his head, just shriveled up like a raisin.1:03:13 - 1:03:54. They had to use Directer Schmector's cure for rasining to restore Wendell's shriveled body. 1:04:27 - 1:04:56

I'm here to watch the game cause I'm never going to beat it🤷🏿🤣🤣🤣the never should've let a game come out for darn near 2 years without releasing the full story 🤦🏿♂️I don't like that. Hopefully dlc comes

I mean other games are in early access for 4 or even 6 years without releasing the full story, so I don’t know what you’re complaining about. Also the game was in early access, early access being a means to test if the community likes the game and get the community involved in the development. The fact that you said that probably means that you don’t know a lot about gaming.

@@aono335 they meant that when the game was first available to buy it was still in "pre release" basically the game wasn't complete, none of the cutscenes were in the game and the story mode wasn't finished
Really disappointed in this not even cut scenes not even these kids realizing how real this is

As someone else pointed out on some other youtube video, if this game was trying to be realistic about it, the kids would spend the entire game completely freaking out and it would get annoying. Altough they could have added at least a little bit to the beginning.
