Persistence and proper training. Stick with anything long enough; they are smart and will figure it out. It's on you.

LUCY IS BEING GROOMED MUCH BETTER THAN MOST PEOPLE HAAAAA

You're gentle and loving to her. That's great to see. I've just watched a video of a guy who was too rough when brushing his dog. The dog was in pain! As a loyal dog, he/she just put up with the pain to please the rough owner. It hurt me to see.

With the brushing outside I could just hear her saying “ahhhhh...yaaa...keep going..😂” back on the couch though with the eye-pad thing she looked like she was saying: “what the heck is that? ..what now?...where is it going?😳...oh ok..ok..🤨😂 love it!😜👍🏼

This was pretty cool - I've never thought of using a bucket for fur collection before - I normally just have a bin next to me, bucket would actually be easier believe it or not - thanks for the accidental idea :) How's her training for her audition going???

Brush a little every day, never shave or trim a GSD though

Really spectacular video! Applied common sense is lacking in all animal care and you explained everything so very well. It is kind of astonishing how much my Gisela looks like Lucy. I THINK they are both of the West German Showline breed? My first purebred GSD and my, what an adventure it’s been already at just 7 months. She does however eat mostly raw food including bones and seems to keep her teeth and mouth and whole body very clean so while it certainly would t hurt to brush her teeth, they just seem so clean already. Anyhow, I really appreciate your common sense approach and Lucy is just adorable and so patient and agreeable to all that you do with her which is of course exemplary of her trust in you and all the time you’ve given to her. She’s such a sweetheart ! Thanks again for everything, c h r I s t y (ps. I won’t tell your wife about using her toothbrush on the dog but pretty sure that was just some dry humor?!)

Hey Lucy gets washed 4 ti 5 times a year with soap. I use anything thats good for sensitive skin.

My gsd actually looks just like yours it’s kinda trippy.

Rosie loves love'em brand beef liver treats they are dried out wafer-thin pieces of beef liver and she also loves beef strapz by Schmackos but she is like a Hoover vacuum cleaner and eats just about anything lol. She tells me off if I don't share my meals with her, but some foods I eat are not good for doggies.

It's absolutely amazing how Lucy sits tight during all her grooming sessions. My 3 nd a half month GSD jumps all over us just when we put her collar and leash on for her daily walks. How am I ever gonna groom her 🙄🙄... I applied paw cream on her one day and she chew off a section of my wall 🤦‍♀️🤷‍♀️ in another 15 days her trainer will start visiting, hoping he can help. Much love to Lucy😍😍. On a different note how's the Covid situation in your country?

@@Lucythegermanshepherd I am in India and it's getting worse here by every passing day. We are getting record number of positive cases each day. I've now been working from home since March this year. Only good thing is have been able to give my pup all the time she needs

Does she shed heavily I've been thinking about getting a German Shepherd but I've heard they shed heavily all over.

We only bath her 5ish times a year. We use anything thats organic. She swims at the beach nearly every day though

It's my childhood dream to own a gsd, but I'm still skeptical because I work 8 hours a day and even though I live in a landed house but it's open space concept without gates. I can afford to walk him/her 30 minutes daily after work and more hours on weekends. What do you think?

I mean that could work if ur committed plus if ur buying it make sure u are buying a show line they aren't that driven and won't need too mch walk, well i mean some walk daily and other mental stimulation

I have a German shepherd too .. he is now 8 month old .. he is very aggressive ,but it's okay . But the very big problem is , he is eating mud, stone , raw vegetables , etc in his sight . So , we can't able to leave him free . So mostly he is chained . If I removed the chain . He straight away enter the garden and eat something .. so , while playing , we used to cover his mouth using a MOUTH CAP. Most of the dogs r not chained .. they are roaming around . But he ......☹️😕☹️😕☹️
