I do not understand why people can't take a few minutes to brush out their Poodle once a day. It would save the dog alot of pain when getting groomed, or from being shaved really short.

Same here. And why don't they get a dog, who doesn't need brushing at all?

Are people supposed to brush these dogs every day? If so why can’t they groom them themselves ?

I have had a lot of dogs & had no trouble grooming & clipping until Archie, 18mth old toy poodle joined my family. I tried all kinds of brushes & combs on him but ended up having to go over him inch by inch with a wire brush & big tooth comb as they wouldn't go through his fur, never had this happen before. Even after hours of brushing & brushing regularly he still kept matting all over close to his body like needle felting & his fur was still hard to get a brush or comb through. I found a natural neem conditioner from Neeming Australia & his coat is always so silky soft now & has never matted since using it. When he was matting before I found this I would have had to clip him so close he would have been bald & he was such a skinny little thing I couldn't do it so I found that I could splice all the knots using small pointy end scissors & they would brush out but that took many hours.. thank goodness I found this conditioner & grooming is enjoyable now 😂. Thank you for your video.

Thank you so much. My husband and I are retired and in a couple of months we will be traveling on our boat to some areas that will make it hard to find or trust a groomer. I’ve always had my two toy poodles professionally because the shears scare me but because of travel I have to learn to at least maintain them and your video is one of the best I’ve seen ❤ my poodles thank you too

Hi, I’m new at trying to groom my tiny toy poodle at home as I just cannot afford my groomer any longer as she continues to go higher in price. It’s so hard to groom 🤷🏼‍♀️🤦🏼‍♀️😥. I certainly have great gratitude and respect for groomers more than I already did as it’s so hard. I just bathed my furr baby and blow dried and brushed out, so glad that your video just popped up on my u tube page. I learned a lot. Thank you. I am going to go thru and hopefully find another video where you’re grooming a toy poodle. She looked so cute. Thank you so much.

@@IntegrityMeansAll yes I did! I tend to get nervous which makes Phoebe nervous, but she turned out so good. The best I’ve done in the 4 times I’ve groomed her. The leave in conditioner made a huge difference in grooming her. She just does not like her back paws touched. So still trying to figure that one out. But did get her paws groomed. Any suggestions? I’m sure they put her in a hanging hoist? To be able to get really good in between her toes.

Sorry for all the comments! Could i ask one last questions? 😂 i only have the Wahl Bravura (because of your recommendations) i have all the Wahl comb attachments. What is a good overall length comb for something like this? My toys have no knots or mats.

Hi, I don't mind questions. I would use a #1 comb attachment all over.

Every groomer grooms at different speeds. In general groomers take between 1 to 2 for small dogs. It depends on the condition of the coat and the length and style of the coat as well. This dog took me 1 hour and a half.

Hi, start by brushing him daily and praise him and give a treat. Start slowly. Have him stand up and praise when he is good. Avoid negative reinforcement. Bring to your groomer as soon as you can every 4 to 6 weeks
