    It is hair. Fur falls out at a certain length, where as hair grows continuously.

    I believe fur does not keep growing hair keeps growing. So in the case of a poodle it is hair.You are an awesome groomer !!!

    @@KZreadOverTV I wouldn't say she's rough, but firm and confident. If the dog senses that you aren't, they become ancy and constantly pull away which can be dangerous/ painful for them. My toy poodle is the same way.

    wow!!! awesome video, one of the best if no the best tutorial on grooming i've seen and i've seen a lot. You should do more!!!, please. You teaching, it is so natural. great work. you should make one on clippers, which ones have you tried, which ones are more quiet and which ones have better quality and don't break so easily. I want one and can not design between a andis cgd2, 5 speed excel pro or wahl km10....any recommendations?

    Hi I got a couple questions.. What size guard did you use for the body and legs? You shaped and trimmed his face using scissors but what about the top of the head... Do you use scissors only to shape or do you also use the clippers there? Thanks

    t monfero Hey! I used an A comb attachment with a 40 blade underneath for his legs and body. I didn’t use a comb attachment on top of his head. I just used curved scissors to shape it.

    You're an excellent professional groomer and every step you take You know exactly what you're doing. Very meticulous. I like hearing you explain what you're doing your dog is incredibly well behaved. The only thing I would ask is to take out the music I didn't like it it distracts. I don't think now that I've watched your work that I would be able to do duplicate what you're doing you are a true pro. 🐩

    I have a mini poodle. I took her 2 different occasions to get a hair cut but she doesn’t let them cut her hair at all. They claim that she’s afraid and shows anxiety. Can you please give me some tips how to help her through this. Her hair is super long and she really needs a haircut really bad.

    Thank you for mentioning the brands. I need a better set. My dog has hair not fir. I tried grooming him this time before a wash and i think its much better to do it after. His hair on his chest, legs.. is so uneven because its not full after drying that it didnt turn out as good. Much easier to fo after i wash and dry him.

    He's slstressed, which isn't overall a bad thing for grooming... But wet brushing is so scary! It pulls

    I don't understand how to get the dog to stay still. If i even lift his tail to see if there is poop on his hair he flips out. I've tried to hold him still and get another person to check or wipe and he is so wiggly he can't be held. My only thought is maybe we can drug him with melatonin or gabapentin or something. For now trying patience and persistence. Is this something dogs will grow out of, or did I adopt a hypersensitive pup?

    Mini poodles tend to be extra nervous in any setting, at least mine is but I can assure you they are the happiest pups on this earth, he appreciates the cut more than anything;)

    My toy poodle starts shaking when he's being bathed. I've had him for 4 months (he's 7 monththe old) and he's only been bathed 3 times since he came home. If it was a usual part of his routine, like brushing, I'm sure he'd take it in stride and not shake. So he is stressed during this time, but he feels so good and is happy and back to normal afterward. Sort of like me and the dentist! 😉

    That was my first thought in the first 20 seconds of this video. This broad is rough with this little dog and he will suffer hip, knee and elbow trauma especially as he gets older with the way she man handles his little body.

    actually with poodles, you should say hair. they’re one of the only breed that has hair like us. not fur at all. that’s why they don’t shed.

    Actually curly hair does shed, just not as much as a regular double coated dogs fur (labs for example). Love these guys 😇

    Autumn Mokshefski Purchase a slicker brush and comb. Brush them out with slicker brush first and go through with comb after to make sure there are no matts. Grooming is best every 5-6 weeks for up keep. Also, make sure you brush them out after their baths. 😊
