GRIZZLY BEAR BOWHUNT BECOMES DANGEROUS | THE REALITY OF HUNTING GIANT GRIZZLIES WITH A BOW | EP 4

Спорт

A Grizzly Bowhunting Film. We are hunting Grizzly Bears with archery equipment...Alaska is home to the Grizzly Bear and in many game management units the bear numbers are too high and the caribou and moose populations struggle according to the wildlife biologists. This a what Grizzly hunting is really like in Alaska with a bow, it is the ultimate challenge...bowhunting Grizzly is one of the most adrenaline -filled pursuits you can possibly do with archery equipment. This hunt takes a couple turns as bowhunters can attest to, not everything happens perfectly but it all worked out in the end. We do our best to make the cleanest possible harvest and to recover the animal in every situation, with Grizzlies the stakes are a lot higher! No camera crews, no advertising, all real exactly how it happened. Thanks for watching.

Too bad you didn't show where that arrow struck when you were skinning bear out. Must be scary as hell sneaking up on a grizzly through that thick bush. Glad everything worked out and congrats on a successful hunt.

This is why I dont like bowhunt on such a big animal/predetor but....BUT....you took responsibility and did exaktly what i would do. This is a schoolbook thing.... Clean, responsible hunt with the best outcome fore the bear. Hats of....this is how responsible hunters make the best of it. I still dont think its right to hunt with bow/arrow fore such a big animal but...well that is my opinion. But i kan understand why you do it, the thrill, excitement and so on... Very well handled...very well... Thx fore a god executed hunt and thinking of the bear so it not suffer more then it had... Very well done... Chris from sweden

I have a few questions. With a clean arrow hit can you take down a Grizzly? (I assume yes) but I just want confirmation. In addition can you give me the specs on the bow you use? Speed and weight of arrows (I can calculate joules of ke based on that) What would be the minimum power (speed and weight of arrows) to reliably take down a grizzly with a clean hit? Thank you in advance 😊

I want to take a trip out in Alaska for a grizzly. Ive hunted deer my whole life but at this point I want to hunt some monsters/beasts.. Well worth the money in my opinion. My goal is a Grizzly, Couger, and the last one is kind of funny but an Alligator. Unfortunately I live in NE so the closest thing to a monster I can hunt up here is a black bear lol. Im guessing this runs about 30k?

That first arrow (only arrow?) went through the arm pit only about an inch deep travel parrallel to the body and poked out forward of the shoulder. Unless this arrow cut a vein or an artery, this bear normally would have been gone! A shot like this from the front just slips along under the skin; perhaps, coming from behind it torqued a bit an inch deep along the chest?

I appreciate that you didn't throw your client under the bus for taking an extremely low percentage shot. I understand his excitement and determination to release an arrow, but there was never a high percentage shot in this video. There were no winners in this, only good damage control.

He had a vital shot , just slightly quartering away , the bear just turned as soon as dude released , close to missing the bear completely when he makes a move like that . Same thing could’ve happened if the bear was standing complete broadside , a turn or step at release will change everything

Hi. Seems the guys won’t answer you so I’ll give it a shot. From what I’ve read and watched on multiple videos. Brown & Grizzly bears are particularly nasty 🤢 The ones closer to the coast eat a lot of fish. To the point that the meat smells like rotten fish. Some ppl take just the tenderloins because it’s the least muscle used in the body of the bear. And last bears are Notorious for having parasites 🦠 The meat must be cooked well-done or you are more likely than not to get trichinosis. Which is little worms that eat your muscles. Almost in possible to get rid of once you have them you always have them. So completely understandable that most hunters they go after the species do not eat the meat they are there for the coat, skull, Predator control, (set by the Department of natural resources for that area), experience, and the challenge. Hope I answered your questions. God bless ✌🏼
