I love how every animator interprets "in the city..." as a mid-song scene change

My children are obsessed with this song. They heard it on the show, then saw a different animation… it has basically become my 4 year old’s theme song. He’ll just sing it as he lays on the couch watching TV

The onslaught of questions pertaining to one’s own self and one’s bones + the difficulties of actually _completing_ a single one of those thoughts is absolutely accurate to life and I believe it’s the real thing
my favorite thing about this bit is how griffin absolutely refused to do the obvious thing of creating a dog character and singing their introduction and instead created an existential horror piece for completely no reason

He really tried for a full minute to finish a single sentence about dogs and just couldn't get there. Gotta admire the perseverance.

Now we know that they share DNA
Justin's "Whoa" after "in the city..." was when he was, for the briefest moment, completely unironically impressed, before remembering that this is so silly.
I like how "Dogs" sounds more like "Phantom" than it does "Cats"
The two sitting in the audience and just eating popcorn to a canine mental breakdown is just peak "our youngest sibling is the family entertainment" energy and I love it
I really do appreciate Travis’s interjections. They deserve equal praise to Griffin’s singing, because he does SO much to drive Griffin’s - and our - interpretation, all as the work is being done before him. A truly collaborative performance. 🥂

@@shockofthenew I guess it is unduly harsh, but I'm honestly a little tired of the brothers taking the time to shut down every Travis bit that doesn't land, when Justin has a LOT more weak bits. I know that's textbook Middle Brother stuff, but it's getting a little frustrating.
I love how thr opening to dogs is just a dog who, without context, seems to be attenpting to sing about his bones whilst passing a kidney stone

the poor dog is just trying to make ends meet for himself and his beautiful bones in the city, but is constantly struck dumb with horror following the realization that every sentence he speaks is actually just a line from les mis. dogz: the musical is allegorical for the depressing educational reality of the average theatre kid, crippling self doubt and inability to follow even one thought to completion included. dogz: the musical truly was one of the musicals of all time.
The dramatic look on Griffins face closing his eyes are just *chef's kiss*
It's like he's singing his way through one of the new Final Yahoos.
I can’t get over the magic of Justin and Travis’ eyes just * m e l t i n g * when they tear up from laughing. Hits the spot every time.
Whenever there's a serious or silent moment in my life my mind will go ALL MY BEAUTIFUL BONES and then wait a beat and go GOD and then wait and WHY HAVE TO FORSAKEN ME? I will never stop praising Griffin's ability to create an ear worm when creating a "bad" song

This, "22 slices" and the "Killing the Joker" one are the best MBMBAM bits
I love how Griffin just becomes Jean Valhound

Wow, my guy, your animations surpass themselves every time, you're already a very talanted animator but I can see your also improving all the time and it's awesome to see. 💚 (Please don't take that as pressure to always feel you have to out-do a previous video however) So; 1:00 the depth of vield you added on the blur and focus points is excellent. 1:15 Griffin suddenly being in the dog outfit and the kennel killed me 🤣 1:36 Justin's face is so perfect here 1:54 the cardboard style cheap theater back drops are adorable 1:57 the little shake on Griffin's feeners 😂 I love your work, thank you so much for sharing it with the world, it takes an already fantastic podcast and makes into an amazing animation. 🙏💚

As much as I, too, would love to see it, I think there would be genuine danger for the actors. Lol being on stage in a fursuit would pose genuine risk of heatstroke and heat exhaustion. I've worn heavy costumes on stage and nearly passed out, I would never agree to wear a full fursuit, personally. BUT I'd still pay lots of money to see it done. 😂😂

I'd watch a musical written by Griffin about dogs very specifically
WHYYYYYY did his song give me such strong similar vibes to Jack Skellington’s first song
The outfit you gave Griffin for this bit? Perfection.
With the amount of passion you and Griffin put into the performance, I wish I could see Dogz: the musical in all its glory.

I saw the thumbnail and immediately thought: Oh God! (full stop) Is this a new one!?........... Yay! Hambone approved.
Jesus Christ, thank you for animating this very worthy bit. Holy shit, dude.
Can we please just talk about the fact that Griffin did a spot-on Colm Wilkinson impression at 1:53 and onward
I was hoping this was a clip you'd animate and this just made my year.
“Look-“ “Thanks, Griff!”
When reading the title I absolutely thought it was “Andrew Garfield Lloyd Webber “ lmfaooo
the 'who am i' ALWAYS takes me out every time
I love your animatic style 😭❤️
This was amazing and they sure know how to make my sides hurt but they just fit with your animation and makes it hurt even more thank you

Love that griffins middle name is andrew, which is why they immediately jumped to griffin andrew lloyd webber
god yes ive been waiting for you to animate this bit for so long
You're so good at these, damn.
It's like when you're writing something and you're like "I want these phrases in my thing" but that's it, no other writing
this is one of my favorite bits so thank you very good
So what Griffin is saying is that Dogs is Andrew Lloyd Weber plagiarizing Les Mis "Who am I? I'm dog valdog!!"
The little shake at 1:57 sells Dogz to me
I love the way this animator adjusts their expressions, it delights me to no end
We as the fans are now REQUIRED to provide the real Griffin with a doggo costume so he can reenact, in real life, this animated reenactment inspired by his real life XD Love these cute boys and love Geo’s style! 💜💚💜

something that gets me every time is his cut off “look !”

Griffin mixing Cats, Jesus Christ Superstar, and Les Mis into a single song is something I didnt expect to see today but Im glad I did

The fact that it randomly turned into Chop Suey for a second kills me
"I can argue that...yeah they do."
