Fantastic talk and fantastic information! Well done boys… #tripofalifetime❤
Greg is just as kind in person as he is online and video. He has been my mentor for four years . In my opinion , he exemplifies what is good in our hobby.
I really think you’re heading in a great direction with the channel. I’ve followed since you had those few tanks at your childhood home right through to the greatness you’ve achieved with your shop/breeding space. I think the new direction you mention in your recent video is great and your honesty is what sets you apart from other people creating fish content. You’re so level headed and everything you present to us is done with passion and without ego and that’s cool, there’s no fake enthusiasm or over the top acting which just makes your videos more appealing. As you say in the recent videos and as this interview shows, breeding fish is beyond a full time job, it’s an obsession, an obsession to detail which can’t be taught! Observational skills which are only possible by somebody who is fully involved in his particular activity. No matter how much an employee wants to do a good job, they will never do it like you, it’s not their baby! To summarise I think these recent podcasts are a great addition to your channel. I can really feel a ‘fish lifestyle’ element to your content which I want to see more of and you ask questions and get invaluable information from your guests in tours which is just priceless. You’ve introduced us to so many great people and the content being long form means it’s really something you can settle in for a couple of hours and enjoy. For sure there is more fish breeding in your future, but for now I think you’ve made great choices with your new business model. All the success to you. I’ll be watching from the UK as always.
Greg THE MAN ..I love these videos.
I bought fish from Greg Sage a few years ago and the experience was great. I also heard him speak at the Atlanta Area Aquarium Association in 2022 and it was a masterclass in aquarium keeping. These long form interviews with hobbyists like Greg Sage are so insightful. Great interview.
Two episodes in and this is already one of my favorite PODCASTS! Thanks for the great content.
I really like this new podcast format. Please keep posting these and picking the brains of people like this who have found their niche and are making their hobby work for them.
Was a great interview with Greg Sage (@SelectAquatics) My Odessa barbs are all from him. In 2018 I had the privilege to tour SelectAquatics in person. It's been a real pleasure to know him since 2016. The way he keeps up with his correspondence blows me away. Thank you for sharing with us.
Greg Sage one of the best!! Cheers from Denmark🤙🤙
Greg Sage is such a legend. Some great questions in here!
I love Greg Sage's videos on breeding Odessa Barbs, he has such a way about him. Thanks for going to see him, such a joy to know he is well as his videos are few and far between
GREAT EXPLANATION VIDEO :) I LEARNED SOME IMPORTANT EXPERIENCES :) THANK YOU FOR SHARING :) THANK YOU FROM ISRAEL :)
Greg Sage is amazing. Heard you were going to be in my area St. Louis. Gary Lange is in the same aquarium club Masi. I used to live a couple blocks away from him. If you ever come back through St. Louis you need to visit Jerry Jost to see all his corydoras.
I love these videos interviewing all the big american hobby people.
Imagine having the money to hire a lawyer, but not enough to cover $50 shipping lol.

Really enjoying the interviews with the KZreadrs! Great job 👍
Your visiting all the legends. Great job nick. These video are awesome
I love these types of videos where we get to hear from other experts in the field and know little back stories and tips and tricks to different fish. Awesome!
More long form interviews like this one please!
I love Greg I seen him twice the first time I was so scared to talk to him and he was so happy to talk with me and he is awesome to talk too. Great interview or learn more about him than I didn’t even know. Thank you
So interesting. You're in Denver? Welcome, hope you enjoy your stay here!
I'm really enjoying these podcasts you're doing now, I thought the length would have me drop off but they are so interesting. And your interviewing style is really good. Thanks for doing these!
Wow! Greetings from Peruvian Amazon 🇵🇪!
G'day Nick, during the chat you seemed to like Greg's idea of letting customers know when unavailale/sold out stock becomes available'again. A lot of online selling websites have a 'let me know when in stock' etc tab/function on an item page. The customer clicks the tab, enters a name an email address and when the item is available again, an email is automatically sent to the customer.

Great Interview
Anyone thinking of breeding fish for profit should watch this and other videos about Greg Sage. There's so many people interested in this topic and there's so many "breeding for profit" videos on KZread but doing anything like a proper business is a very specific way of going about it. As Greg says in this video, there's not many people doing it and in that I think he means doing it properly.
I have a box of Odessa Barbs that I bought from Greg 2 months ago and then i got really sick. He has been the most awesome person to deal with. He is a true hero in the hobby!
That was really cool. I like these casual hanging out with the coolest fish people podcasts. 😂 Great video!
Very jealous.. Greg is Legend!!!
Dang you were only 30 minutes north of me. I would have taken you to lunch and a tour of the best LFS. Hope you enjoyed Colorado
GREAT VIDEO MAN
Nice storm going on. I really enjoy your videos. Keep up the good work.
Waiting patiently for my sage trout goodieds
Loving this tour you’re on. Great stuff.
Oh snap you got to visit Greg! Too bad you cannot bring his Odessas back
Keep it coming fellas 🤙🏽
❤❤❤
Great video mate!
Great video 😊 DETROIT
Can you make a vidio how to culture white worms?
dude, whats up with the blinds? thunderstorm outside?
Nick are you going to release these on a podcast platform? I know it would cost you more but folks would be able to download to listen later without using data. Just a thought. Thanks for sharing your visit with us. Hope it is/was a great trip!

You poor boys where bored outa your minds it shows 😂😂😂😂
Nice😊
👍🏻👍🏻
I have to say though Greg that is an insane shipping price. I also own a tropical fish business for the past 10 years and can ship UPS next day for half that price to almost every state. Do you not have a UPS or Fedx in your area? I also always refund shipping as well if fish arrive DOA, it’s the right thing to do if the customer paid for the shipping why would you keep that money from them?
Que artemia usas?
dudes naming everyone he played with and neither of them are batting an eye because they "too young" meanwhile im only a few years older with my mind blown this guy toured with heart and worked for hanah barbara studios

This is a great video but there is a horrible flickering in the light of the window - making me feel really bad physically painful. In future, perhaps set up a couple of cameras and have no open window behind the speaker. It would be good to see his face better too.
So hard to listen when there’s commercials every 5 min

Go Premium, totally worth it otherwise you need to pay the price of admission and watch the ads. These guys paid to fly all the way to the US from Australia, paid for food accommodation etc to bring you this content and you're complaining about having to watch too many ads.
