As someone that has watched your videos for a lot of years now, I have to say your maturity with yourself and your videos has been an absolute pleasure to watch. Keep up the great work.

I agree 100 percent. My absolute favorite channel
I wouldn't be selling any of those zebras but i would be looking to trade some fry with other breeders just to keep good genetics, i used to breed royal whiptails back in the day and after trading some fish got better results across the board

Agreed. Always a good idea to introduce new genetics.
Just a guy with a couple hundred tanks. 😂 You enthusiastic enjoyment of the hobby is wonderful to see.
So glad you managed to win with the L046 they are beautiful well done keep up the good work
Honestly what I love about you is you're not in this for the money. Here you are sitting on some pretty pricey fish but your passion for them outweighs the want to sell what you've worked so long/hard on. I commend you, and those babies are absolutely precious!
thank you for not gatekeeping.
CONGRATULATIONS!!!! TO THE PLECOS!!!! LOL I LOVE YOUR HONESTY WITH THE REALITY OF THE EXPERIENCE! YOU CAN SEE THE JOY AND PAIN YOU WENT THROUGH WITH THESE PUPPIES AND THAT IS JUST SO ENDEARING! THANK YOU FOR THE VIDEO AND YOUR AWESOME SMILE! 🧙♀🧙🧙♂🧙🧙♀
"Just a guy with a couple hundred tanks"
The price has been keeping me back. Love plecos. This one is on my bucket list. Thanks for the tips
You are such a pleasure to watch. Positive and upbeat. Always had fish when I was young but because I travel so much now could not have anymore for the past 20 years, but always found it relaxing. Keep it up, you’re very inspiring.
I had similiar experience with L236 plecos, i was "greedy" on the first spawns, took them to breeder box inside same tank, as long as i paid attention it was fine, but i also had some trouble with mold on eggs, fry deaths etc, currently i am just letting the male do his job, i have 4 adult ones, 1 male, every 2-3 weeks there is new batch of fry, i just take the grown ones (3cm+) every few months to a grow out tank for them and its working wonders (they go like 10-20 fry per batch)
I saw a 'ZEBRA pleco' first time in my life 😅 didn't knew such a pleco exist. I'm surprised.
Jus a guy with a couple hundred tanks lol love it
When I designed my setup I went with a sulfur nitrate reactor not to have the nitrate peaks between water changes. So while the tank was in its first 2 months before i added the zebras my nitrates red 60 ppm now after 3 months of a mature reactor my nitrates are zero! I’ll implement daily water changes with the hope to get my Golden nuggets to show spawning activity . Originally the tank was for them I have since added other xingu species.
I only got 1 zebra pleco, they are really hard to get in Norway so hope to find by more cause they look fun to breed.
Oh man I’m so thrilled for you! It must be so satisfying to have finally accomplished breeding these fish. They are beautiful!
Congrats on figuring them out! Now make sure to not keep them all in one basket :)
Awesome video, great job. Please could you do a video on breeding the L201? Thanks
I'm so inspired by your videos! It's fabulous that you show the success and the times when you learn things that will help us! Thank you for sharing!
Brother!!!!! THESE ARE FREAKIN SICK!!!!!! Keep it up!
Greetings from Portugal. Your channel is such an inspiration.. Please never stop making videos Nick. Thank you for your time and information 👌👌
Yay! You know it’s a good day when Nick uploads 🎉
So cool what you’re doing bro, and you take great care of your fish.
Great video Nick!
I love your attitude, man, keep it up 👍
I am SO happy for you! Congratulations! You truly deserve this.
Cheers, Nick! Thanks!
Soo glad you succeded!🐠breeding them and dont wory everyone makes mistakes.
Congratulations on your success!
Awesome work Nick! Well done getting these guys to finally breed
I'm glad the zebras are taking off for you. I use warmer water all the time to trigger spawning in my fish room. In the winter my tanks are in the low 70's around 22C. So I use warmer water during water changes and it often triggers a spawn.
Those fry are adorable!
I love watching your videos, they're always chill but informative. Even if I'm not planning to try breeding it's so satisfying to watch
You’re a source of inspiration for my own channel; keep it going!
Yes I’m been waiting for the green cuisine to drop! 👊🏽 add to cart
I love them so much. Your videos on Pecos got me interested in the L134. I’ve been raising. These zebras are stunning. I love that you haven’t lost your passion and love for the fish great videos I always am happy to watch your content and trust your words.
Love these videos. What a great channel
Well done on your zebra plecos nick🔥👍👍
One of my bucket list fish!
I’ve been waiting for this 😁
Love to see it!
👍🏻👍🏻Congrats bud
Good job !
Thanks for sharing 😊
Thanks go this video I found your bug buffet fish food!! Will be buying some next time I finish whatever food I currently have
buy a barometre and when the airpressure drops do a water change and don''t keep your tank to sterile most bacteria are usefull and a little algea won''t hurt it just looks bad greetings and succes from the Netherlands
Well done on the Zebra's. You have know idea how jealous I am!
They are so freaking cute ❤
I've wanted these for ages, and now that I'm planning to build a Rio xinguensis biotope style tank I have to have them. They're still quite expensive here in the USA as well.
New favourite thing is watching plecos eat in Timelapse
Great Video youre my favourite KZreadr ❤
funally a zebra pleco update super neat
THANKS
Been waiting for an update on the Zebs for ages, way to short a video thou Nick. Well done. x x
You have to come here in south America to se amazon fish in the wild!!
Hi Nick! Congratulations on figuring out their breeding and all those water changes. Pity you lost some babies during your US trip. It’s always hard to see that happen. But chin up and as you see they’re pretty easy to keep and breed. Coolest fish ever! PS: Must get some Bug Buffet from you asap.
Hi, really love all your videos. May I know how big is your L46 fish tank? Many thanks.
Finally 😂😉thank you very much 😊
In Germany a bred Zebra pleco cost about 20€ per cm.
Crazy price. Here in Sweden it is around 70-100 euro for 3-4 cm . Alots off people breeding them.
Great video, love it. I had two zebra pleco, you can see them in my shorts however I lost them. Please can you link the food you feed as I believe it was a feeding issues or the guppies in the tank. I’m uk based and looking at buying more but they’re so expensive. Thanks Eddie
I haven't seen these in the States yet. They are going to be huge though. Knockout fish!
Nick you should get a barometer , will let you see barometric pressure changes in advance .
will you make video about breeding molly fish (Poecilia sphenops)?
I have noticed thst fish often respond to water changes particularly well when there are atmospheric pressure changes. I am not trying to spawn but whenever there is a big storm that comes through and I do a wter change I get eggs everywhere. I live in a somewhat drier area so it is really obvious.when it happens.
was there ever an update on the longfin & golden zebra danio breeding ?
Wish we could get this food in the USA
Congratulations on your final success. No doubt all the trials and tribulations in getting there has increased your love of these fish. Now that you have conquered that mountain what is your next Mission Impossible?
Build an army dream come true
Can you try breeding a spotty with a stripey
dam bro my man dropped the bag if I had two clutches of eggs i would be sleeping by them
Hello I was at my local fish shop and they where selling zebra plecos for 90 dollars a piece I rlly want to breed them too
Can you do a video breeding yoyo loaches
Can u make one on breeding green terror?
🔥
The zebra pleco could very well be extinct in nature very soon because of a planned dam at the Xingu. Its on CITES already, although probably for another reason.

Congrats !!!! Question, do you think tha H. zebra can be comptible with Panaqolus claustellifer ?.. Thanks in advance
Are you using an RO system or maybe Australia has soft water with all for all your water changes?
Have you tried crossing zebra with other like in this one with spots and then re breed with the zebra ? to get that variation ?
I always look forward to seeing your videos. Ty
Nice channel!! 🎉 I have a question, I have recently been breeding fish myself, but you talk about cleaning and then you only say the sponge filter. do you never vacuum the bottom?
Wow🎉
Can you make a video of gourami breeding, i am trying for like a month and got no results❤
Hi mate, i bought a superfish start 70 tropical kit last month and I have 6 cherry barbs. Now I’ve ordered a golden vampire pleco ( l127a Leporacanthicus heterodon) on the Maidenhead Aquatics website it says maximum size 10cm but on other websites and google it says they grow up to 20cm? What should I do? Go through with the order?
WOO
do you plan on breeding apistos any time soon?
What temperature are you running this tank at?
Given a chance would you change industries ? If so, which one ? Really interested in knowing this 😊
Hello, What IS your tank dimension? A greeting
Can you show how to breed sword tails
Sounds like a dumb question, but what are you adding to your tap water?
I need help. I’m trying to remove a 4” golden algae eater from my 55 gallon tank. I have a colony of zebra and I need this guy out! Any tips? He’s hard to catch.
I was wondering about these! I'm buying my first fish to breed this week and my investment is WAY smaller than yours, but it's still a worry. It was heartbreaking that you were scammed like that!
That's exactly how I am with all my plecos. I just breed them to breed them, not to make money. I mean I have a tank of probably 100+ L159 fry growing out and really have no intentions to selling them atm
How many gallons is that tank?! Why not just start 2 more tanks with them you’ll have enough to start selling while keeping your volume. Great vid Efit* With the way the food clouds up like that you keep side breed blueberry or white wizard filter feeding snails
Hey mate can breed red tailed shark
Dude is gatekeeping the plecos 😂 think about when you went searching for them, wouldn’t it have been nice if you popped up to sell them ?
Crazy...in europe they go for 80 from private breeders and abt 150 from shops 🤣
Iam have. 14 of this. Zebra
