The Jake Origin Story: I grew up with glasses, 5.00 diopter high myopia, and yet today have 20/20 natural eyesight. No surgery, no glasses, I figured out how myopia actually works and how to reverse it (and no, not eye exercises!) The mainstream tells you it's impossible - but the whole concept that myopia is an illness, is complete unscientific nonsense (a 100 billion dollar a year profitable nonsense, though).

Very helpful, it is indeed a long process. When I work in my lab I look across the room at a phone on the wall and there's a circle light on the panel. I sit about 20 ft away from it and I often see two or three rings which sometimes float around, very interesting that's actually my visual cortex trying to line it up

Well done on another great podcast Jake! And thanks Greg for sharing! I always glean tidbits and nuggets of info from these. Whilst you were discussing the neon alarm clock I thought about looking at the red standby light on my TV for my astigmatism. That really helps, I could get it to fuse into one image. I'll be introducing it into my routine. For an outdoor option I've also found looking up at power lines with the sky as the backdrop really useful for astigmatism. The high contrast between the black power line and the sky makes it nice. Finally, THANK YOU SO MUCH for all the work you do Jake. I'm really grateful for it. I'm down to the last half diopter with just some stubborn astigmatism having started my journey at -2.00. My eyes are a pleasure to use these days!

I should have wore my glasses way less. Up until 17 I didn't really wear glasses much. Only for reading and looking at the board. My vision didn't seem that bad. Of course I get my 3rd glasses and they say I should wear them watching tv. My parents use to pressure me to wear them. Knowing what I know now after watching Jake videos, should have only wore them reading the board. My vision might have stayed low myopia if I only wore them for looking at the board. Seem like I could still use the computer without glasses until I was 17.

can i tell something? thanks see my powers 3 months back were LEFT: sph= -2.00 cyl-1.00 RIGHT: Sph= -2.75 cyl-2.00 now just two weeks ago i got the active focus(maybe) thing i dont know if it is right? i will surely describe and any1 can suggest me if am wrong i stand back at 155 cm from snellen chart and close my eyes for 5 sec and open it and i blink by focussing the 20/20 line after an interval of 3-4 sec and after blinking for 20sec or so i get double visioned clarity and right after that blink i see clear af and sometimes even read 20/15 line easily. then it would last until i blink for several times (say 7-8 times ) then as i continue reading i blink normally and after sometime it again gets doubled or maybe sometimes tripled or so and i am back to that blur. i avoid wearing glasses the whole day.i do this for like 2-3 hrs a day but not in one single stretch. now yesterday i went for eye check up and guess what? LEFT: sph=-2.00 cyl-1.00 but RIGHT : sph=-2.25 cyl1.75 is so much reduction in just 2 weeks a result of it? i am happy and nervous at same time of course optometrist (she) was shocked and she gave new prescription and said if i dont wear glasses i will develop conical myopia and she said that last 2 times but nothing happened till now. so as y0u can see i got 0.5 improvement in sph and if the method is right i will follow it. advises are welcome. pls suggest me someone. thanks for reading

I see your point, and usually might agree with you about that. But it just so happens that this was, for me personally, the most useful of these conversations that I've seen, and I've seen a lot of them. This guy started with slightly better vision than I've started with, but his whole attitude is so much like mine, and also we share that experience of having read for years without glasses and thus accidentally and unconsciously helping our nearsightedness. So in fact the length of this was helpful to me as a kind of meditation and just for hanging out with these guys discussing processes and sensations that I'm at home with.

Hi @@shellingford7616 thank you so much for your reply!! I recently watched his film Just Move on London Real. It really inspired me to explore the mind-body connection and the limitless ways our bodies can move/express ourselves! I’m starting to think that perhaps I’ve been too mind-oriented on my endmyopia journey (eg trying to clear blur with my mind). Maybe putting a greater emphasis on the body (eg relaxing, stretching, dancing, moving in various ways through space) will lay a better foundation for improvement

But for engineer, law and med majors, man this is not achievable. We need computers, books and more close things to get things done. But hey, I done it once. I can do it twice.
