Nothing like fishing the green river. I have fished the green river quite a bit and you will really get into the rainbows up closer towards the dam and get more into the browns towards little hole.

When you fly fish rollcasting works well to trick the fish into thinking that it's a real fly. You want it to hit the water but come back up just like a may fly or any other fly would do. Ever seen a river runs through it? Bad ass movie and a bit of fly fishing in it as well😉

If you watch the film Jerimiah Johnson, the opening scene where Johnson steps off the double canoe into the western settlement; that set was built on the green river on the opposite bank from where you were fishing. I have been there and fished the green many times. Go check out the first 5 minutes of the film and you will be able to see where it was.

Nice! I've only fly fished in Kentucky. Pretty but nothing like this!

Next time, walk up the river from Little Hole. So many great little pools to fish. I've found it's much harder to fish the area of the river downstream from Little Hole.

Thank you sir! Just the encouragement and nudge I needed to make the extra effort to get back out there sooner than later!

I was watching all those big trout off that cliff last time I was there. I didn't know there was a rope to get down! Haha. Nice catch at the end :)

Floated the green river a couple of times 50 years ago. Hardly anyone on the river and the fishing was great.

i would cast a spin rod with float and small hook and small sinker and get some from every ledge without having to climb . asuming is legal that way .

@@CaptMaxADV It looked fabulous. Clear water, fish in sight and sunshine...what else could you want?(ok, perhaps hungrier fish!)

Also I fished the green twice before I ever caught anything. Third time is always the charm.

The first time I went to the Green I was totally unprepared for the number and size of the fish. It was almost hard to believe. Caught a few, a couple over 20. One of the best days ever. What a place! Great video!

I disagree with you on a learning curve, once you know how to read streams and rivers and know where the fish are, it's just a matter of finding what they're eating. Darn nice fish and worth the hike. I fished below the dam maybe 1/4 mile and nailed fish like this all day mostly.

Cutthroats do not have white tipped fins. That’s a rainbow, I thought it may have been a cutbow but the uniform spots are also another tell tale.
