electricpants yeah but it takes skill to keep that tempo up the entire song once you’ve decided it, especially when you have long rests where the drummer doesn’t play

That's because they had to add 2 more people to the band without actually having them being In the band. Their albums are heavily over dubbed with multiple players of guitars. So when they played live it didn't sound the same. For years they didn't sound very good live. Then they got another guy to cover on guitar and a keyboardist to fill in all the gaps.

I really love how tre plays the drum passionately at the same time having fun even at that age
15 years later and they can still play this song perfectly. Plus that solo towards the end
They haven't aged a single day since they started and sound so fuckin good. Very nice, thank you.

Rock will never die, it's still one of the biggest genres and I'd even say the rock scene is more alive than ever, but its happening less in the mainstream media. The mainstream media needs simple content for simple people, but just take a look at the album charts, mostly rock, since rock fans spend more money on the artists they love because they're not replaceable.

Tre's arms have been tired for 20 years. He always looks like he just barely hit that last note and is trying to not fall on his face. Yet, the drumming is always tight as fuck if you aren't looking.

I love Tre's drum sound in these Stern clips. It's very basement/garage band sounding. The sound seems more intimate than a normal TV show/radio show set up. 3:23 old school Billie Joe guitar solo!

This band has been and always will be my lifesaver. Thank you green day for changing my life forever. Any direction they decide to go, I'm with them.. always have been.. tightest band in the world. Without a doubt..
I lost count of the times I watched all of Green Day's appearances on this show. I love admiring each of them playing.
I remember when American Idiot came out. I was in 4th grade. It's been my favourite Green Day album ever since. I remember having it on repeat on my walkman, hahaha.
His voice is still as good as his younger prime years!
This song was ahead of it's time. Green Day is DOPE! Always has been.
