Agree completely! Each question hadd it's own unique music. The ones that were the same are quallifying question and million dollar, and 200,000 and 2 mil. All the others had their own music.

I totally agree!!!!!

For me, this show is iconic, even when I was watching it as a teenager. The music, the sound effects, the way the team has to work together and can turn on each other, and that dead silence that happens right before the last answer is revealed. I really miss this show and hope that it comes back someday. Good times.

Thanks for uploading. Greed was one of my favorite game shows I watched during my childhood in the 2000s, along with Weakest Link, Lingo, Family Feud, Card Sharks, and Who Wants to Be a Millionaire.

Greed is my all-time favorite. Weakest Link is just below it along with It's Your Chance of a Lifetime (Greed's sister show that sadly only lasted 5 episodes in one week)

How would you do it? It would be ruined because of the way today's society is. If TV game shows today were as good as they were 20 years ago, I'd be right with you about bringing it back. Chuck Woolery probably wouldn't host it if they did; and the Terminator challenge probably wouldn't be as big a hit

I completely forgot this game show existed until an episode popped up in my recommended feed...

This came out my senior year of high school. I remember starting our Friday nights watching this with my friend group at my friend Nick's house. We wanted to be on the show so bad. Thanks for the memory of such a good time in our lives!

Oh wow. I was 9 when this premiered on FOX, so I was a third-grader at the time. I remember making a paper name badge with my name across it, trying to replicate the name badge the contestants would wear, and I would tape it to my shirt pretending to be a contestant. I THINK i also remember making a Freebie as well, but i'm not a hundred percent sure. Is Nick still a friend of yours? You guys should get together and watch these episodes as more become available online or WHEN (i refuse to say "if") this ever airs on TV again. I wish this would air on TV again because more than i want a reboot or new season, i want to see all the episodes from the 1999-2000 run. I agree, Fridays from (not all episode aired on a Friday though) were the best back then but Saturdays and Sundays from 2002-2003 when GSN was re-running this were even better! I personally like the Game Show Network airings of Greed better than FOX's airings. Also, you're very welcome! But i can't take complete credit for this episode. A KZreadr who goes by Michael Pannoni (went by "Channel 6" at the time) originally posted this over the summer of 2016 but his first channel got deleted. Good thing, i downloaded this! But even if i didn't he reposted this again but i was more than happy to share the wealth due to the scarcity of Greed episodes available online. Sorry for writing a novel on this, but Greed isn't just any game show; it's has had a positive impact on my life and has shaped how i think about certain things. As a childi thought of it as a "scary" game show because of the dark set, frightening music and sound cues, the blood-like red color when an answer is wrong but now as an adult i see it in a completely new perspective. Hopefully they DO do a new season, i would also like to be a contestant on this show with the SAME exact format as the 1999-2000 season. I fantasize about being on the set, being in the $50k seat, getting $10k for a Terminator challenge, and winning money. I'm happy to hear stories of how this game show impacted other people's lives as well.

@@hiltonlive32grnrngr That sounds like a nice idea. Even being 17, I thought the set was a bit scary too. Unfortunately, I'm not in touch with anyone from our group anymore. I was a senior and they were mostly juniors - I moved away the next summer to go to college and never moved back. Plus there was a boyfriend relationship in there that had grown sour.

@@jacobrichardson1952 Sorry I'm replying a year later but yeah, in January 2000, Fox aired Greed for 3 consecutive nights and made it a Friday show ever since for the rest of its run, though some episodes after that aired on other weekdays.

Fox had 2 of the most intense game shows ever. Greed and The Moment of Truth

@@robbyosborne9708 Only thing that was good about the show was Mark Wahlberg. That's it. Everything else was awful. The show ruined a lot of people's lives. Mark Wahlberg was not too happy doing this show. Imagine if Maury Povich hosted that show. He would have left 2 episodes. And honestly Steve Harvey Feud is better than Moment of Truth. Also a message to GSN: bring back some of the classics like Weakest Link, Russian Roulette, Lingo, Card Sharks, That's the Question, Camouflage, Greed, How Much is Enough, Sale of the Century and Press Your Luck.

The Christmas versus Secretaries' day question was soooooo easy. Let's see: a major holiday that millions of people celebrate, versus a small holiday that not that many people celebrate at all. That was so easy, man.

@@brandonmartin-moore5302, I'm VERY late to the party, but I think they included poinsettias as "flowers", even though they are actually plants. Those plants are VERY popular during Christmas. Also, did they mean "total sales" or only "sent" orders? It's a little misleading, that question.

By the way, Secretaries’ Day is not a holiday, in our opinion. 16:57 “BANKRUPT” (except Roldan walks away with the ten grand)

To be fair, IBM was a big player in the 80's - early 90's and it was the first show of Greed so people didn't get a feel on the expectations of working as a team. I can't blame Jennifer at all since strategy wasn't fully established until future episodes (weigh on categories, when to utilize freebie, which contestant to face in the Terminator, and feedback from teammates when captain makes decisions).

I used to watch Greed when I was younger when it aired and debut on Fox.

Andy from the second team was also the Music Geek from the game show Beat the Geeks. Obscure, but awesome to see him on TWO shows I loved as a teenager.

Everything these days that is awful is being sold out from political correctness, propaganda and mainstream media from the news. Hate to say that, but it's true. TV seems to be a scam at this point. Nobody wants to hear a political agenda anymore. That's the twist and it's a reason why people are cutting the cord. The agenda is trying to divide us a whole, and it's not working out. These evil people that are offended at everything want our country to be like North Korea. North Korea is a horrible country to live in. These people who ruin the industries they touch need Jesus and they are listening to Satan and the devil. The only that is staying alive these days is everything Japan makes. What we really need is not just Jesus but desperately we need Thanos. He needs to snap his fingers twice and wipe off half of the universe. Society in America needs a restart as a whole. Back in the 1940s to the early 2000s, if people acted so immature or caused a big screw up to the public, they would be severely punished.

Too bad US don’t have Toys R Us, I can relate, my brother and I were very angry that we in Canada don’t have HMV anymore. Toys R Us is still around in Canada and we’re losing Sears as well.

I wouldn't want you as the captain on my team then because I'd be pissed. I'd want my team (with me still on it) go to the $500k question but I'd be happy taking home $40,000 after winning the $200,000 question, though I'd love to challenge in the Terminator. There were three teams in the show's entire run the captain bailed after winning $100K and the first two times this happened, the team were or looked very unhappy.

I personally wish there were a way. Taylor Humphries was a contestant in the second-to-last episode of the show. He posted his appearance on the show like, five or six ago. It's in HD with no logo because he got it from Fox directly. So maybe. Wish we could figure out how he got a hold of Fox to get his episode.

They're told to say where they were born so as to give the impression that people all over the country are playing this game. If you check out the guy at 21:00 who answered Twister, he would later go on to be one of the geeks in the game show Beat The Geeks

Wow! I had no idea they were all from the LA area! Then again Jackie from the last team is from Montebello which is part of Los Angeles and Curtis is from Cathedral City which I THINK (I could be mistaken) is also part of LA. Also these contestants from this 2-hour premiere are contestants who were on other game shows so I think the producers were experimenting here. I think a lot of people already are aware that Andy is from Beat the Geeks.

I guess all of his winnings from Sale of the Century were pretty much gone by 1999, so he went on Greed to win some more cash, and win he would!!! He would go on to win more on Greed ($1,410,000 in total) then he won on Sale of the Century. The years must not have been good to him, as he moved away from Palm Springs, and he also let his hair get away from him, and he basically looked like Robert Smith of The Cure on Greed.

Pathetically enough, Dwalu was brought back to the show for the show's Tournament of Losers episode only for his second team to lose on another $200k question about who people buy the most flowers for.

And the way he looked at it, he had that smug look on his face like it was serious. Jacob Richardson FOX has a less-than-favorable track record of their game shows not sticking around for very long. It's Your Chance of a Lifetime only went for 5 episodes and The Chamber had 6. But then again FOX's run of Are You Smarter Than a Fifth Grader had 98 episodes, but all things considered, we're actually lucky Greed had as many episodes as it did. If only there was at least one more 40-something-episodes season, it would've been more of a complete game show series.

I've never been a fan of grape-flavored drinks. I would have thought orange, too. What surprises me was the hesitation to choose lemonade.

i was surprised myself i knew cheery grape and tropical punch were one of the best flavors of kool-aid and i thought for sure orange would be one of them i didn't think lemonade be one cause i find it really sour and i defintley knew it wasn't iced tea that's for sure

I agree that Kool-Aid question was pretty tricky. Honestly I didn't think Lemonade was one the answers at first, would have had trouble choosing between that or Orange but the Lemonade vs. Iced Tea was an easy decision to choose from cause I never KNEW they made an Iced Tea flavor of Kool-Aid

@@dylancardone932 yep I dranked a lot of kool-aid when I was a kid orange cherry grape tropical punch and strawberry were my favourite flavours growing up even though strawberry was not in the question but when I first seen the question I thought for sure I was right there I never would’ve guessed lemonade cause I find it sour plus I knew it wasn’t iced tea cause I never recall kool-aid ever making iced tea back in the day even when I was 7 years old when this episode aired

Throughout the entire run of the show, the answer of the person who came in last on the Qualifying round was never revealed.
