That guy Jenkins will have that forever. He went undrafted in the nba, but he hit the buzzer beater to win a national championship. I think that’s awesome.

You say it like there aren’t buzzer beaters in the NBA. Basketball is played at a higher level in the big league, not everybody wants to watch the same ten schools beat everyone else in the tournament every year
Verne Lundquist....one of the best with that “Yes!!!!!!” call.
Al McGuire's "Holy mackarel! Holy mackarel!" is still, to me, the best single-play highlight of all time. He's just so genuinely stunned (and with good reason, the play was a complete bust and the guy who hit the three hadn't made a three all season).

The most ironic shot was the accidental alley oop that Lorenzo Charles did against the greatest college dunking team Houston’s Phi Slamma Jamma. Quite befitting. Valvano outcoached Guy Lewis. Lewis had his game towel over his head the majority of the second half.

Great Post! Remember Keith Smart's shot in the 1987 Championship Game. Wasn't a buzzer beater but I believed less than a second remained.
I literally got chills watching this.
1:52 the 1st of 2 national title game winning buzzer beater 1:59 just to hear billy packer saying "they're won it... on the dunk" 2:07 either a town that come on the short end of that gw buzzer against nc state or a city that hosted a final four lighting can strike twice
This is getting me pumped up for the Tournament in a few days
The buzzer. Technology marches forward, but it will always be known as, the buzzer.
5:43 - That coast-to-coast job by Tyus Edney was one of the most memorable March Madness plays of the 1990's for me.
Good editing. Thank you !
There’s no greater feeling than shooting that game winning shot. Man I miss it 🏀⛹🏼♀️
As great as Laettner's shot was, that pass from Grant Hill was perfection.

My favorite is the Villanova one. 7 tenths of a second, winning the National Championship, the celebration, and it's Villanova, my team! I may seem biased, but that's gotta be the greatest basketball shot of all time.
this just gave me chills
I love how a basketball score can drastically change in the last 5 min
The Michigan St. vs. Maryland buzzer beater...I never noticed until now that a teammate had to duck out of the way of Draymond Green's pass before the winning jump shot. Crazy stuff.
1:50 was another documentary I watched the other day
Remember when we had march madness
3:33 I remember watching that Northern Iowa shot live and wanting Texas to lose so bad. Amazing moment
Laettner had balls of steel in college.

That shot by lucious was smooooth
If anybody updates this, you must include Virginia/Purdue 2019. The last few seconds of regulation and Diakite's shot to tie was insane.

I remember most of these. But that Northern Iowa/Texas game. It was tied and Northern Iowa was just like we'll just throw it up and go to OT. Nope. lol
Man that was fun!
Well done!!! I was racking my brain to see which ones you left out and I was sure you were going to leave out the Tate George shot to beat Clemson. But sure enough it was there. And also the Arkansas half court shot to knock off Louisville back in '81. Yes I'm an old man. And how about Christian Laettner? The guy hit 2 buzzer beaters in different years to win by a point and send his team to the final four. Great video

Gonna have to update this with that sick Michigan drainer against Houston.
Al McGuire's call for Georgia Tech is when I truly stayed in love with March Madness. "OOOOOOOOOOOOOOHHHHHHHHHHHH!! HOLY MACKEREL!!"
My God. As I always say, if I have to take a loss, just blow me out. Taking a dagger shot in the gut at the buzzer and reliving it like a 30-for-30 special in my head for the next 50 years would be way too much...
You could do a part 2 just from this year alone.
2:22 I probably could have gotten lucky with any of those girls that night. . . . DAMN. . . lol
Thank You!
that nova one will never get old
Shit...I had blocked the Mike Miller game winner, against Butler, out of my brain. This just brought it back. Thanks 😂😂😂
