Thanks for another timely video, Penguin! I was just thinking about what Dragonflight items sell well, as a lot of non-transmog old expansion professions don't really have much profit (I'm looking at you, alchemy). And I got super depressed when the Dragonflight herb and ore market crashed. It can be hard to know what stays profitable if you aren't in the know, so videos like these are invaluable.

One thing that is important for me is to be familiar with what I sell. I refuse to undercut or sell when I can’t turn a profit. I frequently post at my sell point (while there are many cheaper items listed) and sometimes I get my sell price.

For Inscription, I've had luck in making gold with weapons for mog purposes from previous expansions. So for Inscription, I would recommend trying old weapon recipes for trans mog purposes to see if they have luck with those. EDIT: I am also on a low pop server just to give people a comparison. If I can make gold with that on a low pop, medium to high pop servers should have no problem with it.

Inscription can very easily get to make treatises, all it takes is 25 skill and 20 knowledge which you should get via first time crafts on your way to 25 skill anyway. Treatises are discovered by making them so you'll start out with only a couple different ones and it'll take a while to get them all. But the nice thing is once set up it takes a minute a day to log in and look for a work order. Very small profit but doable with any unused lv60 char and very little time per day.

Alchemy has transmutation that has gem that is around 7-8k gold per 12hrs and it can have additional craft problem is it costs spores so alchemy and herbalism is good combination if u manage to get 300 spores per 12hrs that is always like 8k gold me personally use lure bait in skinning and alch on my main and on alt herbalism mining feeling great, hope this helps stay strong pps!

i have 3 scribs since like 3 rd week of expac and put them all in too different specializations i can do every thing at rank 5 as a scrib a lot work went in i thought darkmoon market would suck this expac i made over a million gold in a month just crafting decks buying the cards cheap love your videos

Honestly if you want to make gold, my advice is buy green sell yellow. Get TSM. Buy raw materials from old expac at 75%= during the week ( this will finance your expansion into other markets) then dump by selling at 80% => during the weekends. Sometimes you do get losses.. It happens to me, it happens to everyone. Make a group to liquidate. That group, you never buy and sell at 50%=>. Just get out of that market and suck up the loss. It happens! As you go you'll get inventory problems. Move the cheaper items into your liquidate group. Buy items that are worth more. You'll get a better markup! On the upper side of things you're pretty much selling elemental stuff. LIke motes (BC) or rousings (current xpac) that's the apex of raw materials IMO. But if you want to get into those markets, you'll need to be playing with milions already. So play with clothes and cheap leather at first. Good luck!

Spent over 8k to just blue mining, on main, to upgrade. Now with radiding /z craverns/rare finding would spend 1k gold in repair bills if all red broke armor

Yeah, checked my JC/ENG main and there's basically nothing worth crafting due to the massive spike in raw mat costs.

I probably make my lvl 41 pally skinner/enchant, in to tailor/enchant. And when i make level my mage, could be tailor/jc.. my pally was switch skinner for BS, but could only learn /craft vanilla, i dont want to make /learn old craft to lvl. But could just DC with pally

I know this isnt exactly related to the video, but since i know you also use craftsim: is the average profit calculated by craftsim before or after auctionhouse tax?

its after the AH cut! So if CraftSim states you are making 10g profit, that is 10g profit in your mailbox/pocket, after the 5% cut

I really cannot make gold for the life of me. every JC gem i have has a minus profit margin, ive leveled enchanting too and its minus 1.5k profit if i make sophic devotion

Some items sell like hot cakes but people keep dragging the price through the mud. It's annoying to keep resetting markets cause monkeys keep undercutting by hundreds of gold instead of a silver. People don't know how a basic economy works.
