Ingredients:
3 cups of rolled oats
¼ cup canola oil
1 large egg white
⅓ cup packed brown sugar
⅓ cup honey
½ teaspoon of almond or vanilla extract
¼ teaspoon ground cinnamon
¼ teaspoon salt
Add ins:
1 cup dried cherries
1 cup dried cranberries
½ cup slivered almonds
½ cup shredded coconut
Preheat oven to 300F
In a large bowl combine oats, oil, egg white, sugar, honey, extract, cinnamon and salt until oats are evenly coated. Spread an even layer onto a baking sheet. Use parchment or silicone mat to help with sticking. Bake for 45 minutes and stir every 15 minutes until toasted and golden. Cool completely.
Transfer granola to a large bowl and add the other ingredients. Toss to combine. Store in an airtight container for 1 month.
