Grand Teton 3 Day Backpacking Trip (**NO MUSIC**): Cascade Canyon/Alaska Basin/Teton Crest Trail

Музыка

*This is the music free version of my other video if you prefer only the sounds of nature (...and me talking occasionally)*
This video documents a 3 day backpacking trip through Grand Teton National Park that my brother and I took from August 3 through August 5 of 2020. We started at the String Lake trailhead and hiked up Cascade Canyon, turning south at the Cascade Canyon fork. The views of the Teton mountains were spectacular here, especially as we ascended Hurricane pass (10,338 ft.), which gave us a good look at the entire west side of the the range from Middle Teton to Mt. Moran and beyond. We camped near Sunset lake in the Alaska Basin, then climbed the Death Canyon Shelf following the Teton Crest Trail. The wildflowers were in full bloom, and the views of Death Canyon to the east and the Teton range to the north were amazing. We descended into Death Canyon to spend the final night. Here, we saw a bear, two moose, and a number of smaller animals (which were well fed on backpack...). The final few miles of Death Canyon offered stunning views of magnificent granite walls and jagged mountain peaks. We finished our hike following the placid Phelps Lake to the Laurance S. Rockefeller Preserve Center.
I hope you enjoy!

Wonderful job on the video. Thank you for this version which gives us the sounds or silence of nature, not music. That was quite an explosion of wildflowers! Also appreciate the identification of landmarks and the short map review each day. It's so helpful for trip planning.

Thank you so much. After over half a century of wishing I could hike there, I am 66 and realizing that will have to be out of body in heaven. I never had the right hiking companions when I was younger and fit and in the park. At least I got to visit the park 3 times !

awesome trip and great video work. What camera /equipment did you use on this trip and editing software? Enjoyed your style of editing/production, a nice first person point of view with just enough narrative and mix a just taking the journey with your and enjoying the natural sounds and sights. I recently got sidelined from hiking for quite a while, so this is really helping me during my recovery. Thanks.

Hey, just have 2 questions. 1, how did u keep your phone camera/battery up for the whole trip, and 2, how did you get from Jackson Hole back to Jenny Lake area at the end of your hike. Thanks :)
