Just adding a thought about the weight limits. I bought the 4Ever for my 1st and am now trying to decide b/w these for my 2nd. The longer weight limit is really only a bonus if you have a heavier set child. Both of my kids have been exactly average on the growth curves. My 6 year old has only just hit 40lbs, my 1 year old is still under 19lbs, I was 12 before I even hit 80lbs. If your kid(s) run average for weight, 40 vs 50lbs and 100 vs 120 really isn't going to make a difference compared to height and age.

I will be purchasing the Evenflo car seat. Thanks for affirming my choice.

As of August 2021, Graco 4ever is $299 (when on sale, but regular jack up price is $429). EvenFlo Everystage is $299 as regular price. I found an open box but still brand new Evenflo Everystage at Wal-Mart (Toronto) for $130! I think it is a very good bang for the buck as I saw the comparison. To Mommy Dear, you have consider Diono 3RX/RXT series?

Hey there, you did a great job explaining, thank you so much! If I could make just one suggestion, I think it would be really awesome to hear more on what you would say about installation, for example is it Isofix or seatbelt and also how practical or easy is it to install if you had to do it regularly! But either way you broke it down really clearly thank so much you are making it so much easier as there is actually quite a lot to consider when buy a car seat so I’m truly grateful!

When it says every stage does that mean a certain size or for every age and what age can a baby stay in second one close to the gray one

I own both and I prefer the evenflo by far!!!

I purchased the Evenflo Everystage car seat, simply because the rear facing 50 lbs is much safer for my child. I'm glad it can go up to 120lbs as well. I do wish it was more comfortable for my child and the price of the Evenflo is now comparable with the Graco!! I had no idea

In my newborn essentials video, I talked about the important tip of having your infant car seat compatible with your stroller. This is important if you plan to do any traveling or regular walks with the baby. I went with Nuna Pipa and while I don’t have anything bad to say about it, I now do think going with a more cost effective but equally safe option would have been my choice. After all, you really only use it for a year or so before transitioning to the all-in-one car seat. Hope this helps!

When would you want to recline these car seats? When rear facing or when forward facing? When my 7 and 8yr olds fall asleep, their head falls forward.... it's this when we did recline them?

3 months late but, Some convertible and multimode car seats allow for a recline when installed forward facing. So just check your car seat guide and don’t recline to far back to make sure it can still be properly installed.

The car seat shown in the video with the anti-rebound bar is called Evenflo EveryStage Deluxe car seat. Demo car seats on display and pictures may not show the bar for ease of demonstration, but it should come with it. I'm glad you found the video helpful!

The anti-rebound bar is only sold in Canada, from what I understand…

I bought the Evenflo seems to bulky not as comfortable for long drives Going to exchange for the graco seems more comfortable

It’s so sweet of you to be considerate of your daughter so far into the future! In your case, I would get the Graco 4ever car seat first and see. By the time she exceeds the height/weight limits, she would likely be a teenager. You might have to see if she still wants to stay in a car seat! As for the the anti-rebound bar on the Evenflo EveryStage car seat, it is only used for the rear-facing option. It has to be removed for the other riding positions. I am so glad you found the review helpful! I really have not had a head slump issue with the graco 4ever car seat at all. It’s important to note I did use an infant car seat before I transitioned my toddler to these all-in-one car seats though.

Yes, you can technically use the Evenflo car seat for your newborn. Having said that, with an all-in-one car seat, you will have to transfer baby from car seat to stroller each time you leave the car. If you want to detach the whole car seat and carry the baby with you or attach it to a compatible stroller, you will have to get a designated infant car seat to be able to do that. That’s what I mean when I say most will get 2 car seats for their child at the beginning of my video.

Would be better to compare two $200 car seats. I mean the Graco Extend2fit 3in1 instead of the 4ever versus the Evenflo Everystage DLX. It's something obvious that a $400 car seat have more quality than a $200 one (well, it's expected, but not in britax case), but if you compare the graco extend2fit 3in1, the evenflo everystage dlx kills it in terms of quality and other stuffs, but the graco have better crash test ratings.

Graco extend2fit 3in1 only holds upto 65pounds .. so its out of comparison.

I love Evenflo. I get I everything I need for best price. I just got there every kid and I love it was so cheap compared to others at 300 plus. And I love wat they are harder move things so if ever in crash or bumps his car seat does click out place

I have a quick question about this car seat and turns out that I cannot find the answer. So I thought maybe I could get help from here in the comment section. OK. my question is that would this Evenflo car seat would go in a stroller or no? or it's just a car seat for inside the car and cannot be adjusted in a stroller? I would like to know if this would be best or should I just go with the infant car seat and the regular stroller first and when my baby outgrows from the infant car seat then I should go for one of these car seats? I would appreciate your response thank you in advance.

@@funkenstein763 depends I know you can get the one goes into the stroller. I never used the car seat into one. I had smaller stroller that him as implant he fit. AMD from 2 moths old he was in was in 3 in 1 car seat and would go into a stroller ik a lot mo don’t like that but was most effective for me.

@@ilovemyselffirstsd4651 no you can not recline. That’s dangerous due to if in accident it throws body wrong in it. I know they make band now for kids heads. My son used a neck pillow or lays against side. I’ve never had him lean forward

I bought mine at Toys R Us. As with shopping for anything, I check the prices on as many selling platforms as I can before making the purchase (e.g. Amazon, Bed, Bath & Beyond, etc). Black Friday is around the corner. My advice is wait and see if you get a discount then!

Given the now increased price of the Evenflo EveryStage car seat, I would get the Graco 4ever car seat when it’s at a discounted price 😛 This is strictly my own preference and does not speak to the what the car seats offer.

If you look at the cup holders and how Graco 4ever has the light rim detail and Evenflo’s does not, you will know I tagged the Graco 4ever car seat with $400 and Evenflo with $200 correctly. Maybe what makes it confusing is the Graco 4ever car seat in the thumbnail still has the (light grey) infant insert and I took it out when I was reviewing it in the video so they look different to you? 🤔

It appears Graco does do some rollover testing as specified on their website (i.e. Graco Rollsafe Testing Standard). As for what specific standards are met by each car seat, further digging into is required. www.gracobaby.com/safety.html
