I define Grace Jones as 'no frills' - Grace is Grace and you can take her or leave her and she couldn't care less which one we choose. I don't believe Grace has ever taken herself so seriously like most and many other artists in the music industry. Except David Bowie whom I am sure would have loved Grace's personality passionately. Bowie was another who never ever took himself too seriously.

What a beauty. She's an original, a true artist, way ahead of her time. Always imitated, but never duplicated.

I knew a young lady from Kenya who looks exactly like Grace Jones, flawless skin with those slant wide-eyed look when she shows attitude. Only she is shorter than Grace Jones. Grace Jones facial features in beauty are unique but not uncommon where we are from on the other side of the world, which is part of this planet earth. What is unique about Grace Jones is her wonderful attitude and persona that makes her stand out from the norm.

I saw Grace getting out of a limousine in San Fransisco to sign records. All the Gays from Castro, where this took place, were in a frenzy. I was just a young tourist from Holland not used to anything and in absolute awe 🫢. Grace created a sweltering atmosphere in seconds. Iconic.

Grace is so gorgeous and talented and still is today at 75 what a legend

Grace Jones is now in her 70's and she looks at. Classy, sophisticated, alluring, charming and so much more. She was ahead of time. No one can hold a candle to her.

I was born in 1979 and I was I was kind of scared of both Grace Jones and Joan Rivers when I was little. But I kind of knew who they were. There just weren't any people like either of them anywhere near where I lived in Kentucky (and there isn't anyone else like either one of them anywhere today).

I saw Grace in performance early in her career. Mouths were just as much on the floor as they are today. She is what so many aren’t today…… An Individual!

She is always fascinating.

You're right she does when she was on the Jonathan Ross show he asked her how many languages she spoke and she Replied as only grace could and paid i speak four and a half languages he's eccentricity is so natural and very charming

Yes!! the word is said.She is outragous.And unlike other people here,i am maybe weird or have no taste but she doesn't look pretty to me not AT ALL.She was strange,she had a large face and large mouth.She didn't look like a woman actually a bit of a man.She always scared me..i prefer other singers or actresses like GOng li for instance or Meryl streep that are super beautiful and charming but Grace wasn't.Not for me..

+Prolinium. Ms Jones was born Jamaican. Hence the fluctuation in speech. She was raised in New York, has lived a continental life throughout Europe, Asia and the Caribbean since the 1970s. She is a very bright and intuitive person and a superb artist, who has resided permanently in Europe for many years Her accent and speech are her own. Nothing misguided about GJ, strange at times, but not misguided.

I love in her interviews she never allows them to out her in a box. Her answers can always go either way

I remember back in the early 80's in Detroit grace would give mad concerts at a concert hall called, Harpos on harper street, man I tell you the streets were blocked off for at least 1/2 mile And this was the early 80's! Such great music that she performed. I too thinks that she was very under appreciated. She really knew how to perform at a concert that's for sure.

Grace has the guts to be honest and can act nice when she's not in her "Artist" character.

Joan knew VERY WELL Grace was a Fashion model. if you consider this context, it's a great joke, and as that Grace laughed at it. If you're ignorant you might think she was putting her off, but to that day and age, it's like if someone asked that same question to the likes of Sarah Jessica Parker
