I was 12 in 1985... and grace jones scared me. Now I see her in a different light.

Seen Grace numerous times. 2022 she sang 'Amazing Grace' @ Hollywood Bowl. Hit notes perfectly in a range not heard before. It was Amazing Grace!

Oh man, great she hit that Russel Harty character... I never understood why he did those music programs for so long while he didn't like the music, and didn't understand the musicians one bit? You see him with The Who or David Bowie in the '70s, and it was such a drag listening to these uninterested questions, he just wouldn't understand what they were all about, this guy was from a total different generation.

I used to listen to her in the 1980s at the discos, some of her songs were very popular and she was known as a chic tomboy. She created her own genre with the "Pull up to the bumper" very popular disco tune. I am listening to this today because for some reason I thought Donna Summer had sung the song, and then when I checked it was Grace Jones, and now I recall seeing her videos back in the 80s. I started thinking about this tune a few days ago, especially the cool electronic music.
