@GenesisGunn Grace has always been a bit different,and influential to so many others. Her 'One Man Show' recorded almost 45 years ago was groundbreaking at the time. And still sounds great now. Rather glad I don't understand what 'dope as F' means. And I'm also rather pleased that don't recall Tina Turner trying to talk European !!

@@dalian1993 for Tina I suggest you listen to her in later years. Eddie Griffin references it in his stand up also so it isn't anything new. For Grace, I spent ten years in Janaica, grew up in and around the community so I know exactly what I am talking about. Hell I am british and have been to America more than once. In jamaica that voice and even her features are not a rarity. The voice is not her natural way of speaking. Dope as F is highly complimentary slang. Her abilities and contributions are undeniable whether loved or loathed.

Piazzolla is an argentinian musician and probably the best Tango composer in the entire world history. Libertango and Adios Nonino are masterpieces that cannot be analyzed with theories, they can only be felt in the soul

Piazzolla composed more than tangoes. And he wouldn't agree with you on your point. But it's true that he was the last grand argentinian composer as we can hear on this piece of Jones heavily influenced by a french atmosphere that was modified by Astor in the seventies. Cheers.

She's a piece of art. Such a surreal entity! her aura is incredible, so sensual and mysterious. Some ones don't believe in Grace because part of her image was directed by Goude, but, others women wouldn't fit in her aesthetic, some singers of today took things from her but they don't get the same result, is her aura, is her. She isn't manipulated by the aesthetic, she brings the aesthetic, the identity. My favourite human in the world.

I think she is one of the most iconic persons of 20th century. Just remember her two iconic poses. (The one with a square face and hair, with triangular shoulder. And the other one is that pose where she stands on one footh and holding the other by her hand.) Incredible body type, incredible talent. I remember her long teeth and seeing him in the Conan movie. What a wild persona she had! I'm wondering why she is kind of forgotten by the people. She is as great a talent as Tina Turner, maybe more.

When music cries, the whole of humanity cries with it, the whole of nature cries.

So iconic! The music, style, the avant garde voices, language, lyrics...this looks like a multi-million advertising campaign with the brilliant crews. It is still relevant now. Instead, people replicating it ever since.

None of the current female artist are coming close to the iconic Goddesses of the past. Marlene Dietrich, Grace Jones, Nina Simone, even Madonna had her days , Kate Bush and so many more. Lady Gaga who? Beyonce, who? It makes me sick how mediocrity is so celebrated nowadays. They are all so fake and fabricated. Even basic Real Housewives are called iconic for getting a fact right.

Grace was also a good actress. When Grace was on camera she totally dominated whatever scene she was in. Even with Arnold, she was the one your eye went to.

I really think her music is so under rated it is so ahead of its time and dead funky.

Oh my godley and creme, I love Grace Jones, I've got two Island posters of her and on one of them her body was painted by Andy Warhol, it's incredible, she's a force to be reckoned with.

So far ahead of her time. What is time? Grace is timeless.
