Every now and then, we like to switch it up and film something a little different. Laura is a friend of ours, and she contacted us a few weeks ago with an awesome idea in mind.
Her husband, Jimmy, is a CW4 in the U.S. Army and had been overseas for 400 days. The day he was deployed, was also the day his daughter left for her first day of college. So when Laura got the call that her husband was coming back home, she wanted to make a big deal about it. He landed in Tulsa on May 10, but had to keep quiet because he had a long day ahead. He was going to surprise his three daughters, and his mother all in the same day!
There was definitely a lot of emotion in each surprise. It was actually a little hard for us to film, as we had to stay focused and try to not get emotional ourselves! All we can say after spending just one afternoon with this family, is that they are amazing. The strength and love that they have for one another is something we would film every day if we had the chance. We are extremely grateful to have been a part of this exciting day, and even more grateful to have Jimmy fight for our country.

I remember the first time I came home from ITR.. My Mom and my Dad picked me up at the airport and on the way home stopped at my older brothers home so they could see me. My 12 year old niece came up to me, sat on my lap, cried, and wouldn't leave me for the entire time we were there. I think the reason mothers are so emotional is because she sees that young man in the uniform as still that little baby the doctor laid on her chest when she gave birth to him. USMC1969-1971
He was firm when he met his daughters but broke down meeting his Mom.... We can't act front of our parent.

That's one of the hardest things right now, not being able to see my parents knowing they are just a couple miles away and cant even hug them. My dad's not the best health and pushing 80 and I want to spend every free moment I can with him and can't because selfish people would rather be out sunning themselves than listening to health warnings and stopping the spread of COVID-19 so we can remove this lockdown.

Oh, how I remembered as a child when my dad would leave for duty; I would cry, grab him by one of his ankles lol and beg him not to leave. He would say "Ah... I love you baby, stop crying I'll be back". I would sit in my little chair next to the window and watch him drive away. He was a part of my life for 35 years and unexpectedly departed his life on my child and his grandchild’s date of birth of July 9th. It’s been rough over the years due to him not being here, yet I manage to move forward because my dad continues to dwell within me. I give so much thanks to him and my mom for their love and guidance. I am who I am because of them. He is my strength!

But if not for US and allies etc on the western front ( freaking france) they would not have been saved either. And the russians were overloaded with US supplies that helped a lot. YEs i know the russians suffered most along with many others - anyway Austrailan women are gorgeous lol War sucks.

I needed this 1/10th as much as they did, but it filled me with more than I could have imagined. I wish this could be an everyday joy for people across the globe that is going through this and everything else. This is an example of the best of human emotion.
That moment when his mum sees him was beautiful. Brought tears to my eyes.
