Thank you for the tip. I would like to clarify. And I tested this myself and experiences from my fellow driving buddies. Priorities are now goes to premuim cars. Including 6 seater services. This means that no point renting or buying 6 seater cars anymore unless it's a premuim grab car models. And the above mentioned theory apply to horrible AR n CR n low tier drivers too. As long as you're driving a premuim car, you can't get hungry unless your DR is low.
Thanks for share tips I appreciate iit
Thank you for the tips... I’m currently driving a hybrid car. Do you recommend I use my own car for PHV or rent another car? With higher mileage clock, my concern is the car maintenance cost if I use my own car.

You are welcome 😁. Sharing is caring. Own Car vs Rental Car? My pov is highly depending on individual view on these areas : 1. What is your view of your personal car? a) your toy - must keep it fresh b) your tools - use it till every cent is worthwhile 2. How long you wish to stay as a PHV? a) Short term as part time - rent b) Short term as full time - rent if u don't have a car c) Long term as part time - rent d) Long term as full time - buy 3. How much you wish to drive monthly? a) 3,000 km - rent or relief b) 6,000 km - rent c) 12,000 km or more - depending on Q2 answer 4. Cost v.s. Utility a) cost of changing the battery (for hybrid) - the 💣 b) cost of wear and tear (EO, brakes, tyres etc) - relatively affordable c) depreciation (PHV will be usually be more compared to private use) d) insurances (200% or more expensive than private use) + road tax My 2cents : I did a rough calculation during back then. My conclusion : because I don't own a car + i'm in for a short run. So rental is more worthwhile for me although I will like pay a few hundreds more per month (no commitment, can cut cost/lost anytime). As compared to buying a car, I need stay in the game longer to breakeven invested startup cost (mainly car vaule depreciation + insurance). If you already own a car, then it will be a diff case. Which you will need to examine Q1 to Q4 carefully. If the cost is similar, then go for the option of using own car to avoid paying for 2 car (but only use 1). *Only if you are doing for long term with high mileage like 120,000km yearly
Can I earn at least SGD 4k / month if I drive GrabCar full-time (8 - 9 hours a day) using my own car? That is after minusing costs such as petrol, Cashcard & grab Commission?

Before the covid 19, it is possible if the work hours covers all the peaks period hours. Currently, I don't think it is achievable (just my 2cents).

Not too sure about the incentive and fare structure now. During 2019/2020, it's possible. But still largely depending on the earning expectation. I.e. just to cover rental and cost, or want to take home more.
say NO to slave labour to GRAB
bullshit...grab pays peanuts......and what peak hrs your talking about...we get stuck with 1 passenger for i hr 30 mins..for a short distance..so wheres the profit here ....just .80 sen for the traffic jam and waiting..bollocks to you all
