    I believe most drivers will work an average of 12 hours, 6 days a week. That would increase your earnings significantly. We all have to work hard to survive. And also thanks for sharing this useful information.

    hey ZW! Thank you for the costs breakdown, definitely helps future drivers. May I ask are you still driving a private hire? What are your thoughts on other ride hailing platforms and can I do grab and other platforms (Gojek,Tada,Ryde) while doing grab ?

    Glad that the content is useful. I'm no longer driving as private hire since mid 2020 (trying out of curiosity only). Personally have not tired Tada or Ryde before. Generally I felt that this trade is able economic of scale (at the company stand point). And SG cost of operation is consider higher that other SEA country, thus the operating expenses have to come from someone's pocket (customer, driver, company or investor). Income as a driver is larger depending on the incentive, cost and time commited. Thus it's just like most jobs out there, using time in exchange of money. But as Private Hire, one can enjoy more freedom if one can control the expense (sink cost), else one will need to commit X hrs just to breakeven (which is demoralizing). In 2020, I was allow to do multiple platform at the same time. But u need to manage when to prevent double booking (not nice to the rider and also your rating if u cancel). As for now, I'm not too sure. Need to consult exsiting pros liao.

    Hi zwc. Can grabdriver or gojek rent car from the getgo? Or is compulsory to Rent a phv monthly car

  • @zwc888

    @zwc888

    Жыл бұрын

    No, as the car needs to be registered in the app via some process. Furthermore, I think the rental rate from Getgo might erode 99% of the earnings since it is base + distance (sums up to be quite ex). My 2 cents and knowledge based on a few years back.

    My view below is to say Cyclists earn more after deducting the overheads from using motorbike especially class 2A or 2 bikes. I ride a motorbike doing grab (i dun siao on i do less than 15 trips a day). I calculated that i earn only on average $5.90 a trip. So, thats about $10/ hr low wage worker rate after minusing the maintenance and wear and tear and petrol and not even including the risks on the road. But cyclists earn about the same? I calculated how much petrol i burnt, i need to minus a few dollars a day from my earnings. Also, the brake pads used up per day and engine oil change per 3000 km , brake fluid change , parking offences if any and tyre rubber burnt , the food delivery motor insurance coverage paid and clearly cyclists earn much more after deducting all these hidden costs for motor. Does anyone see my point ?? I am just sharing my experience and not discouraging anyone from doing it. If anything i say is incorrect feel free to tell me.

    @@alexjones8113 They used to have this tier based revenue sharing. Starting from 20% (premium tier is 10% if I recall correctly but the driver needs to meet some requirement to maintain that status). The incentive change weekly & monthly, so that's something unstable.
