Paying off debt and being the sole breadwinner to 3 kids as a Grab driver-partner

Brought to you by Grab.
In 2017, Jason, the sole breadwinner of his family with three young kids, fell under heavy debt from a failed business venture.
Determined to provide for his family and be a good father to his children, he picked himself up.
Jason turned things around for himself and his kids after he joined Grab as a driver-partner and committed to upskill himself through a GrabAcademy opportunity, all without neglecting spending quality time with his kids.

Dude, bring your kids to the library, or the beach. Bring them to a concert, or a park, or even a combo of the two : a free concert within a park, for e.g. those concerts at the Botanic Gardens. Bring them to these places where their childhood will be filled with enriching experiences. Please don’t bring them to the Arcade, which does nothing for the mind, and is really a waste of time and money. These kids are smart. Notice that they were not exactly thrilled at being told by you that they were going to the Arcade.

Give him some time. I am sure he think Arcade was his past time that he forgot about other activities. Can't blame him. It definitely tiring being a single father plus being in debt. Another thing to note is exposing his children,i wonder what will the outcome be knowing his children will be make fun of having a single parents or a father with debt. Hope this father muster his courage to keep working hard while spending time understanding his own children needs.

Human desires are the root cause of frustrations and bondages. The more human desires one has, the more stressed out he will experience. But wise, we want so many, but we only need so few. Happiness is knowing what is the most important things in life : Peace. But what is peace? Very few people really know. Most people have never experience real peace in their entire life. The things that most people think will give them happiness; money, family, career and possessions. All the superficial things in life. Grow up, be wise. Life is deeper than this. Don’t take more than you can chew. We want so many, but we only need so few. Life is short, travel light,

If this was the US why do I have a feeling the person wouldve been crying victim and asking the government for a free check? I hope this guy makes it big and his family enjoys his sacrifice and learn his hard working foundation as his kids will have a better chance in the future.

Can't imagine what it's like to be in debt close to SGD100,000 today. He's got his priorities in life right though. Raising his kids in an allrounded healthy home environment as evidenced from his children's demeanor. That, cannot be faked out in the video. The plus points going for him: • he's still relatively young. • got never-say-die attitude. • willing to Grab; no problem. • got additional side income. • got great understanding wife. • debts nearly cleared; very important. • got HDB asset. • got helpful SG Government financial assistance in children's education, utilities, GST vouchers, transport, etc. Every bit of financial assistance helps.

Looking at the other angle -> at "prime career age" where new citizen doesn't need to serve the army or Reservist [I think it goes against the enlistment act] and taking away good paying jobs from equivalent locals? I'll say, its sad to see locals Singaporeans paying off "debts" and struggling through lives just to make ends meet. Hence, I think the "Swiss Standard of Living" is for others. What do you think?

Many people failed because still hang on to old SG feel, old method..old mindset..old certificate..today, u need to be witty, outsmart..gutsy to live in SG..not school not distinction certs ..so long people telling u been react differently work differently make $ differently u are safe! Those don’t take bold steps and follow what your parent say or government say n rely on single paycheck are just slowly digging your own family graves,,dragging all down,,end up appearing in video like this..this video is a reality wake up call for all..not for u all to sympathise..don’t like? Then migrate to neighbour countries and lehpak there..today all heartlanders mostly end up grab or panda or kangaroo or honey bee delivery riders..jobs don’t require the Mind power but legs n hands power ..slowly back to old sg coolies day..perhaps one day is SG turn to export our women out as domestic helpers to survive
