Several times, I have introduced past videos to remind you of the amazing mother-son relationship between Genki and Gentaro to the video.
A few days after his birth, Gentaro was put in a life-or-death situation. After artificial nurturing, mother Genki accepted Gentaro affinely and he was able to grow up so much in the gorilla society.
At the same time, the father Momotaro also accepted Gentaro as his own child, which was also a major factor.

MOMOTARO & GENKI Family
Father MOMOTARO ♂(2000/7/3)
He is hesitant in new situations and is a loner.
His father died before he was born, and he had never spent time with a silverback.
He had already turned into a silverback by the time he was 10 years old.
He is struggling with unfamiliar child-rearing.
MOMOTARO's father is BIJU.
MOMOTARO's mother is MOMOKO.
Mother GENKI ♀ (1986/6/24)
She is 14 years older than Momotaro and has a role to support the whole family mentally.
She has had a tumultuous and eventful life.
She has returned to her birthplace, Kyoto City Zoo.
She had never been blessed with a baby but after meeting Momotaro,
she had two sons.
She is a very maternal female gorilla.
GENKI's father is MAC.
GENKI's mother is HIROMI.
First son GENTARO, male (2011/12/21)
He was separated from his mother Genki soon after he was born.
Genki's milk production was not very good.
He was raised by his keeper for his first10 months.
Because of this, he is very fond of humans.
His face is so expressive, and everyone enjoys watching him.
Second son KINTARO ♂ (2018/12/19)
He is just very strong-willed and independent.
He has big eyes and long eyebrows.
The way he plays a lot with his brother Gentaro makes everyone smile.
We can't wait to see what kind of gorilla he'll become!

You can see that Gentaro enjoys the affection and attention of mama.
It’s nice to see Gentaro get some loving attention from his mom. And Kintaro with his red ball is too cute!
Very cute footage of Genki and Gentaro interacting! I don't mind that the eldest son received a lot of love in early childhood from his parents.

ゲンキが頭痛?で頭抱えてるとき ゲンタロウが側で寄り添おうとすると 思いっきり殴られてるを見てから ゲンタロウの小さい時の様子は 切なくて胸が苦しくなってしまいます どんなに殴られても母ちゃん大好きなゲンタロウ 側に寄っても今のキンタロウの様に抱き寄せて もらうことが無かったゲンタロウ 今キンタロウとは愛情の差がありすぎて涙が出てくる それでもゲンキとモモタロウがゲンタロウを 受け入れてくれたことに感謝しかありません

That was awesome to see Gentaro getting some TLC from Genki on this day. That was hilarious when Kintaro was playing with dad and Gentaro was jealous and kept poking at dad's butt. 🤣🤣🤣
Thank you for the amazing memories. It’s crazy how much Kintaro has grown and it hasn’t even been a full year since his last birthday. Gentaro is such a great big Brother! He’s very protective. ❤️ 🦍

Do they feed them anything but grass and leaves with a few nuggets carrots? It seems that other zoos give their gorillas much more variety and whole pieces of fruits and veggies

No worries Yes, they do. In their room inside. But, intentionally the zookeepers don't give much fruits or veggeis to the gorillas because they are made for human consumption and are often overloaded with nutrients and sugar, which is counterproductive to the gorilla's health. In fact, too much of the fruits and vegetables that humans eat increases their susceptibility to disease and premature death. So the zoo stocks pastures and grasses, which are more difficult to obtain than fruits and vegetables.

Yes sometimes she can be a good mom to Gentaro it should be like that all the time he is her son . He is 12 years old not mush long with them .

@@deniied5414 Thank you for your reply , They know females stay till they find a mate for them . Males around 13 move on . If they didn't move Frank at 13 he would have hurt Winston .

人口保育の時の柵越しのゲンキを見ていると切なくなったのを思い出す。
Genki loves her boys, she is the most amazing mother ever, she has been thru hell and back, talk about rough, she had it rough but is a survivor, her will & strength got her where she is today! Along with human help too. I hope she will have another baby soon, Genki deserves nothing but pure Happiness & Love. Her boys love her unconditionally, she will never feel alone again, ever!

Can zookeeper give them more fruits and vegetables for them to enjoy, please?

Yes they do. But not too much considering their health. They are given more veggies inside.
I think if Genki did this moe often, Gentaro may stop sucking his finger. 😊😊

Momoto is playing with kintaro in the straw 📦, and jealous gentaro comes along 🤪 momotaro,but not much response from momotaro ,so gentaro continuing his goosing until kintaro.jumps out of the box,and then momotaro turns towards gentaro ,and gentaro takes off.Good to see an interacting emotion going on between genki,and gentaro,family is family!
