Kintaro is not yet one year old at this time.
Genki was very worried when Gentaro approached Kintaro and when Kintaro approached Momotaro.
But Genki knows that zookeepers will not harm Kintaro.
That's why Genki was eating next to Kintaro and the zoo keepers playing together without worrying about anything.

⭐️モモタロウ Momotaro ♂(2000/7/3)
momotaro was born at Ueno zoo in Tokyo on jul.3,2000 and came to our zoo on Oct.18,2010.
He is beautiful and handsome ,the silverback of our troop.
He is a little timid,and scared of new things.
He sometimes shows lovely behaviors that melt our hearts.
He is making efforts to be a good dad for his two sons.
⭐️ゲンキ Genki ♀(1986/6/24)
Genki was born at our zoo on Jun,24,1986.
After mating with several males without a pregnancy she found her perfect partner Momotaro.
Now she is a loving and caring mom for her two sons.
She sometimes behaves boldly,yet she can also be sensitive.
Genki has a cute face with shining eyes.
⭐️ゲンタロウ Gentaro ♂(2011/12/21))
Gentaro was born at our zoo on Dec.21,2011,as Momotaro and Genki's first son.
Unfortunately Genki didn't have enough milk,so he was nursed by keepers for his first 10.5 months.
Now he loves his mom,and his face really looks like her.
He also loves people .
Everyone immediately agrees that he is a very adorable boy.
⭐️キンタロウ Kintaro ♂(2018/12/19)
Kintaro was born at our zoo on Dec.19,2018.
He has big bright eyes and long eyebrows.
He is growing fine ,being loved by his parents and brother.
He love to play by himself,with his father.
He is still small, but smart and strong-willed.
His cute appearance and behavior attract everyone's interest.

I've been watching kintaro for 3 years and he's a cool gorilla. He's tough and doesn't seem to have fear but at the same time is a Mama's boy.
Watching GENKI Talk to the Zoo Keeper is breath taking!!! I Rather talk to GENKI then anybody in the WORLD !!!!! I LOVE HER SO**** My Birthday's tomorrow, I Wish I Could see GENKI!!! That's my only WISH before I DIE !!!

I have no idea why I’m not tired of this same music 😂😂🤣🤣with every video, though I think this is slightly different? I love the Momotaro family of gorillas.
Watching the siblings react to each other reminds me of my little sister and I growing up.. Genki is such a good mother❤ God Bless those who care for this little family so much. The keepers obviously love them and it's shown right back..

Shannon Breland Ginki knows how horrible Gentaro is when he actually loots Kintaro! He takes off dragging Kintaro off, his tiny body bouncing off the ground & thru bushes. Gentaro attacks from all angles! All because he has a concent desire to loot him! Gentaro actually does more personal things to him later. He is very sneaky. The best video is when poor Ginki finally gets tired of be harassed. She goes to get a good drink of water, within seconds here comes Gentaro trying to attack her! She spits the water all over Gentaro's face! He is stunned!

This zoo seems to have a lot of toys for the apes...but is so small. They need more open space to roam. And I know land isn't cheap. All zoos should band together and request more space. And hopefully, once the species are stable in the population they can return to the wild.
Incredible animals. Sad to think capacity is the best and safest place for them nowadays. Smart and friendly, gotta love them.

She eventually became more and more comfortable with the Gentaro playing with the baby and literally within about a week after this they were playing without Mom constantly pulling baby away. As far as I know he's never ever ever hurt Kentaro

I wish Momotaro was a little nicer to his wife and children. I'm aware he has had no role models for fatherhood, never having had a father, and never having seen another adult male gorilla. But still. I saw the video where he hurt Gentaro who is afraid of him, as is Genki. Darn. But, they do what they do. I'm glad for these videos. Thank You.

Joy I don't think they are afraid of him as much as they respect his position. He gets the best food first, simple as that. Gentaro understands that and looks around very carefully before taking the food he has found and backs away at once when Momo comes to claim it. At this time Genki had complete control of the baby and Momo respected that, she reinforces her role often in the same way Momo reinforces his role around food. It is understood by the whole troop so not so much fear as an understanding one's place and roles. These days Genki seems intimidated by Gentaro, he is now bigger than her and she can not control him like she used too. It's probably a natural process but I struggle with that. I like seeing this Genki, the all powerful matriarch and a great mum. Although she fairly drags Kintaro around, I'd forgotten about that too.😄
