  • @Kirukitsu

    @Kirukitsu

    7 жыл бұрын

    *Bill Hampton* I'd say it's a "phobia" of gaining weight. Anorexics avoid eating because of an obsessive desire to lose weight. Anorexia stems from a distorted/exaggerated body image, not from a fear or dislike of food. Speaking of which, bonus fun-fact: anorexia isn't technically a "phobia." But on the subject of food and phobias, food-phobias do exist (I had one when I was a kid :P). Similar to anorexia in the way they both play out, but different in the roots of the problems. . . . I'll be going now. :[]

    Unkn0wnGuy Soured cream. Very easy to make. Take two cups of heavy cream and pour it in a container - add 3 table spoons of butter milk. Cover it with cling film and leave it at room temperature for 24 hours. Less if your kitchen is very warm. Stir and refrigerate. It will easily last in the fridge for more than a week.

"Take that out. Then take the jam and just spoon it over." "The secret is for the juice to just sort of run inside all those little holes." "Now finish that with a nice ball of creme fraiche." : D

    www.reddit.com/r/Cooking/comments/2ad49m/giant_crumpet_with_strawberry_jam/ I found this on reddit. I love his recipes are good but for the love of all good food I need measurements!!! this man infuriates me when I try to watch him. I end up yelling and screaming at him. How much milk? how much flour? Give me any measurement! I don't care if its even in metric or imperial I'll f'n convert it!!

I did acquire a full recipe elsewhere, however, and shall combine the two of them when I finally actually make the Crumpet happen. NOT today, though! I hope all is well with your Lovely Self. @Mothers Moons I have Ramsay’s book which holds this recipe. Remember you have to add water to the milk once it’s boiled to cool it down and to activate the yeast. If you have any more questions let me know as like I said, I’ve got the recipe book.

That was my top favorite things with crumpets. 😀 Thank you Mr. Ramsey, you very funny, I very like how you roast bad restaurants and tell them what they do wrong. 👍😊 Omg, I know some bad fast food restaurants myself, the reaction of yours would be so hilarious! 😂

    Just because it doesn't have eggs doesn't mean it's automatically bread. Brioche has eggs, milk, and flour in it, but you'd never call it a pancake. Crumpets are clearly made from a batter, notice how it's even pourable.

    Early crumpets actually were hard pancakes cooked on a griddle. It wasn't until the victorian era (mid 19th century) That yeast was introduced to make the modern crumpet. i.ytimg.com/vi/YNwj64NFWB4/maxresdefault.jpg
