Dusting mix: garlic powder, salt, smoked paprika. Hot pan with oil, sear wings with butter until dark and caramelized. Finish with pepper. 375F for 15 minutes in the oven. Glaze: juice from the pan, hot sauce on top, 2 TBSP butter.

I put 3 wings in my ovenproof pan because that's the largest I have. Did everything Gordon said, put them in the oven for 10 min. Because real wings stick up all over, I couldn't season them the way he did. So I plated them, put more butter in the pan, a few drops of hot sauce and a drizzle of maple syrup. Wow! It was fabulous, along with some homemade vegetable soup with cabbage, tomato paste, Italian canned plum tomatoes, potatoes and onions. There was a lot of sauce left on my plate & I didn't want to throw it out. So I poured it in my soup. Dang! The best soup I ever had. I'd like to make the sauce just for the soup. I took a picture of the chicken but don't know how to put it on here. Thank you, Gordon, for your wonderful inspiration.

i watched Chef Gordon on hot ones, I now always make scrambled eggs as he did on that show. Never a complaint always "Omg these are so good!" I follow the Chefs recipes a LOT although I get creative sometimes myself and veer off the beaten path. he has never steered me wrong. I am now a Home Chef supreme! Best Chef in the world if you ask me. Someday I hope to visit one of his many dining establishments to taste his style of trained cooking for myself. Maybe one day I'll get to shake his hand, who knows! But i wont lie to you Chef, you cannot beat just regular treditional hot wings my man. Buffalo sauce drenched. Some of us really enjoy the flavor that happens just before the fire hits ur mouth n throat.

I always let my chicken wings marinade in molasses, lemon juice, cayenne, tumeric, aromic bitters, fine ground black pepper, salt and club soda, and I marinade it for 12 to 24 hours first but you could probably get away with 6-8; works well along with a lot of chicken wing recipes out there. (you can even use the marinade like a dressing after with added spices and a dash of peanut oil but you gotta actually cook it down. Its a lot less greasy than your mess because it caramelizes better though and no butter)

I seem to recall in a previous video that Gordon specifically says he doesn't hand his children anything easy including just cooking for them all the time. It would not surprise me if he makes his children cook their own food a lot of nights to teach them how to cook on their own.
