Thing is, feelings don't have a right or wrong. Feelings of sadness, anger, and regret are still valid, whether or not those feelings are towards something small or incredibly serious. It's upsetting to see people like the male owner put down others just because what the other person feels makes them feel like the bad guy, and they can't handle the smallest bit of humility.

Update: Following Gordan’s visit, Kati Allo received more customers for a period. Before long, however, business declined, which ultimately led them to close their doors permanently in April 2014, days after the episode aired. Today, their old location has been taken over by a new Greek Restaurant called Kalamaki NYC. Opened in the summer of 2014, it appears to be doing well, with decent reviews across online sites.

Gordon’s makeover of the restaurant got mixed reviews, with some people liking the changes and some people not. Unfortunately, the restaurant closed down in April of 2014. Initially, the stated reason for closure was a temporary break to make renovations. However, the restaurant never reopened after its initial closure, so Kati Allo pretty much was already done by the time the Kitchen Nightmares episode aired. While there were some positive review of the standards of food being served at the renewed restaurant, there were also complaints about long delivery times. Another Greek restaurant called Kalamaki opened at the old Kati Allo location in July, 2014. The reviews for the new restaurant are mainly good and most regulars from Kati Allo have become customers there as well. As of 2021, Kalamaki is still open and doing well. It has a 4 star review average according to the Kalamaki Yelp page.

Like I said she is as bad as her husband. Luckily at the end of the episode they seemed to have collected themselves and even seemed to still love eachother, so I hope they have learned and continued that way, but if they go back to the situation at the beginning, they are likely better off without eachother.

The only solution is that the daughter take over as chef, mother focuses on front of house and dad go into semi-retirement and just handle food ordering. But that will never happen.

Manny doesn’t want to take responsibility for when things go wrong. He always blames his wife for everything when everything was his idea. Broke my heart when I heard they had to sell their house to keep the business from going under.

I love how at the moment they decided to put their pride aside, and that was the hardest part of it all, the love came back again. The husband started immediately to admit his mistakes and had the will to change. It's so beautiful to see their love and passion to each other and to their business 👏 a true lesson.
