Just made this recipe using unsalted real butter because I didn’t have lard. They came out amazing. Exactly what I wanted. And so soft! I can’t stop eating them. I’m loving your recipes so far.

Thank you for all your wonderful videos. I made the charro beans in the crockpot and used the leftovers to make refried beans. I also made the Mexican rice recipe and my husband said these are as good as in our favorite Mexican restaurant, maybe better. Your videos give me confidence and try other recipes! I'm on a Tex-Mex food kick lately, too. I bought flour tortillas and pepper jack cheese to make quesadillas, with Spanish rice and refried beans completing the meal.

I love how you make everything seem not so difficult to try and make xD

While traveling back to Texas from New Mexico, I stopped at a gas station for gas, etc. Sas a food truck and asked if the lady had anything vegan or vegetarian. She didn’t but quickly said she could whip up some Gordita’s with rojas con queso. As we were leaving with, we opened our bag of food and this was my first ever. Flour gordita. I felt like I was in an alternate reality. As I had never had or even heard of these! I plan to make these today. ❤❤ thank you for the recipe.

Beautiful, I need to try and make a plant based version of this. I love gorditas.

I admire that you are able to hand knead for ten minutes. After a couple minutes, my hand starts to cramp.

I've been on this kick learning how to make all kinds of flat breads. I've made Greek & Indian versions. Some take yogurt, some just water, some butter. Some are cooked on top of the stove & some in the oven. I am so excited that you made these today. I have never heard of these before, but I'm adding them to my list! Yeah. Can't wait to make them. That mole looks delicious, but intimidating.

Cool! Yeah I love to make rice in it. Btw be mindful of the handles when cooking. The metal gets hot. I luckily have not had any issues, but be sure to handle with a towel or oven mitten. 😬
