The one tutorial amongst hundreds of GA4 and Tag Manager video tutorials that helps me fire my form trigger successfully. Loves Data indeed!
I got it to work! Yeeeeh! Thank you so much for this great tutorial!
Your are the best.
Thank you! After your video I figured it so fast, even though I spent days trying to set it up!

Thanks for the video. Should we turn off automatic form tracking if we use thank you page event method?
Helpful video! I appreciate that you mentioned the need to turn off default form tracking if you set it up through GTM

Hi Benjamin, Great video! Thank you very much for uploading it. I have a problem that nobody seems to have covered. I am trying to create a GA4 conversion event through GTM. In the GTM, I am configuring the form submission trigger to fire on page view with the condition page url contains /thank-you. The same fires when I test it directly in the tag assistant, but does not fire when the form is submitted and the thank-you page then appears. So if the tag fires on the page, but not when the page is a redirect after from submission, what could be be the issue? The site is a WIX site, if that helps.
boss!! Thank you, had to use the element visibility trigger as there was no other to make it work with my setup, still unsure why, as i had even created a separate thank you page to go with that type of trigger and nothing was happening still... (setup was correct i checked over and over again....) curious as to why that is? do you know ? either way, great tutorial, amazing you included all the ways possible to achieve this! THANK YOU
Thank you for this ! Very helpful. I would like to ask for your opinion in something. I've disabled the form interaction in the enhanced measurement as we have our own data layer push to track forms. How do I completely remove form_start and form_submit from the events as they will still be present there ( with 0 values ). I can only managed to disable the option for making them conversions, but I can't find an option to remove them from the actual events report and settings. Thank you !
Hi, question: What Form plugin do you recommend that would work with this? Thanks
can you please create a video on register and login tracking
Wow - you're really good. I feel like a novice compared
Hello, thanks for your videos. Do you know if it is possible to have looker studio in self-hosted instead of the cloud ?

It’s not available as a self-hosted product.
Great Video. But still, my website forms not fired for some reason. I use forminator Plug in.. Any suggestions? Thank you in advance
Great video thanks! 🌻 I've jumped in on the part ''Tracking forms using GTM'' and successfully created the tag with the Element Visibility trigger. But when I needed to track the form in Google Analytics I didn't have the event already created. Do you know if I can create the event through a custom definition? So create a custom dimension and use the ''Event Parameter'' name from Gtag?

I ran into the same issue... I was able to create the tag and test that it fires for all forms using the Element Visibility method however the form_submit wasn't showing in GA4. Does it take 24 hours for the type of event to populate in GA4 before I can select it as a conversion metric?
Questions: do the form_submit Events show in the events tab right after you created them on GTM or it will take a while to show, cause mine is not listed there yet?
how to track form submission using GA4. please help
I am using Google Sites to create my site. However, I have not figured out how to redirect my embedded Google Form submission to a seperate thank you page yet. How can I track form submission as conversion in this case? Thanks a lot
If you have form interactions enabled from enhanced measurement and form_submit event is firing on forms. But then you create a form_submit event on viewing the thank you page, would that double/duplicate form submit events? would that end up counting 2 submit events?

Yes, using enhanced measurement and sending your own events will lead to duplicate events in GA4.
Hi. Will it be counted as duplicate if we refresh the page or visit the page(without filling out the form)?

It depends on the technique you use and also how you choose to count conversions.

I’m not on AdSense (apart from KZread), so I’m not sure. Sound like it makes sense though. I’d contact AdSense support.
