Hi, thanks for the great video. I have a question though. Whenever I get my team to set up a conversion event on my website, it usually doesnt work. Twice I had to get the analytics code setup and conversions started to come in. My question is that is it necessary to get the analytics code setup alongwith google tag by the Tag Manager? I can't understand what am I missing.

For the conversion tracking, in our case the data was hardcoded into the google tag (conversion value) and used without GTM. How would you recommend one would go about migrating to your approach instead?

Thanks Walker, some people suggested that we add send_page_view - true under config parameters for a Google tag. Why is it so? Since you haven't done that here, Is it optional?

Hello Walker Ihave this issue with GA4, whenever I go to data stream I see this message that says Data collection isn't active for your website. If you installed tags more than 48 hours ago, make sure they are set up correctly. I tested the website domain and it appears okay, so Should I wait 48 hours? because with other websites I didn't have suck problem. I followed your video and the GTM and GA4 are connected and integrated though

Its the most recent one as per the latest UI update at GTM

Since Etsy doesn't support GTM tags, is the Google Analytics measurement ID all you need to track conversions on Etsy? (There's a place in your Etsy shop settings to input your Google Analytics Measurement ID in order to connect your analytics account but that's it.) Thanks

That's correct in order to setup GA4 on your Etsy store you simply have to include your GA4 measurement ID in your settings. The measurement ID will be in the following format: G-XXXXXXXXXX.

Where in GA4 can I see statistics for each triggered tag? I created tags for specific triggered buttons and I don't see any analytics on them in GA4.

If you're talking about events that you have created with the GA4 event tag in GTM, then you will see them in the admin > events section once they start receiving data. It can take 12-48 hours for the events to appear depending on how much data your property records

It sounds like you may have an outdated tag template or a broken custom HTML tag that's causing you issues

What do you see when you use GTM’s preview mode. Does your GA4 tag appear then?

@@WalkerAnalytics i face the same problem.. it does not appear in the debug view. But in the GTM preview mode it does say it fired and all looks the same as you have.

The debug view can be quite delayed some times. Make sure that you'er using the correct measurement ID in your Google tag and if you are give it a few minutes for the data to appear in debug view. If it's taking too long to appear, you can also use the real time report @@jent1726
