I used a Poppo line on a young lady when I was in college. I lowkey was crushing on her my freshman year (she was a junior from Detroit and FINE as frogs hair!). I was a baseball player and crossed the frat in the fall of a long time ago, so I was feeling myself after a nice freshman season and earning some letters. I saw her sitting in a student lounge in one of the academic buildings and I went in, frat t-shirt and all, and said: "(Her name 3x)! Now you know I've always had my eyes on you and I hope that you've been watching me, too!" SHE KNEW EXACTLY who inspired that line, said it was cute, and we went out a few times. I learned that she had a grown man on her team who was footing the bill for her apartment she had off the yard, the car she pushed, and why she was always traveling somewhere exotic and would come back to campus tanned like a bronze goddess. As a young 19-year old neophyte, I couldn't read it until an older Bro said "Young buck, she's some man's kept woman (side piece in today's parlance)!" It was fun, though.

I'd rather see her with Poppo than Keith.

The fun of seeing Poppo was the chase,if they were married there would have been no chase like that!

Thelma was digging Poppo. Think about it. Every time he called her, she always stopped in her tracks. If she wasn't feeling him, she would have ignored him and kept stepping. Not to mention she was touchy feely with him a few times. Poppo was so sure of himself. I think Poppo would have hit on Thelma in front of James Evans Sr. He didn't care.

Poppo didn't care. I'm a 70s Baby. If you lived in the hood and your Dad was in the home, he WAS James Evans and I am sure Poppo had some conquests who had fathers in the home. You don't have that kind of confidence from striking out. That's why he kept after Thelma. She was messing up his stats...LOL.
