Goldeneye Source at least emulated the multi-player component pretty well, that was a fun mod for hl2 back in the day

@@DaDoom1 i still play it sometimes, it's just a really well made mod, but pretty much all source mods are really good, goldeneye source, Dragon Ball source, Black Mesa Source, etc.

@@inventionscreator8875 Not all but there are some really good ones out there I will give you that, I used to download mods for both HL1 and 2 all the time back in high school. Afraid of Monsters and Cry of Fear are two pretty good ones for HL1

Omg yes. I had to install like 3 programs to use the mouse previously and it really messed with the drivers if one of those programs was still enabled. Thank you to the creator and thank you for sharing.

Now 00 Agent is going to be like easy mode.

Tbh the 60fps alone makes the whole game a lot easier. I noticed this back when Perfect Dark XBLA was released. Cheat-unlocking times were easier to achieve, even though the times were the same. I can imagine adding mouse + keyboard into the mix must almost feel like God mode lol

more like super easy mode. im surprised how fine tuned the control stick aiming sensitivity is in the build that was found. its way better than what Perfect Dark XBLA had before a patch! tested myself to beat it on 00 Agent for my return run to see if it was much more doable on improved hardware, it was a fun challenge! Control took me the longest with the guards getting wacky during the escort part.

This is an understatement. Problem is playing on controller SUCKS compared to keyboard and mouse, so you can't go back even with the massive drop in difficulty.

This is incredible. Hopefully some speedrunners try this out, I can imagine many strats being possible in this only.

I still remember the first time I emulated Goldeneye with mouse controls. It was so natural; I didn't even realize that the auto-aim was turned off until I went into the settings. It's like it was made for this.

It could be noice if goldeneye was part of rare replay games. Sadly we only got perfect dark.

I tried this out the other day when he released it. It was surprisingly easy to get used to.

@@DislikeFRIDAY Well I mean it will never feel like 100% true native mouse input, but it has improved over time and he has it using raw mouse input as well as can be expected. It feels way more like something natively on PC with it now for sure. I would say the controls are as good as I could think to make them. It is low latency and really feels as good as can be expected. I struggle to see how they could improve it any more than already is. After about 5 mins I felt like I was playing a PC version it was that good.

@@BFKAnthony817 It can be improved by having crosshair sway options like 1964 GEPD but this feels way better than the first versions of the N64 mouse injector back in 2013. So yes it feels just like a PC game.

Freaking finally a mouse injector I've been nut for a mouse injector

Downloaded the plugin today and its beautiful. The goldeneye community is always at the top of their game. If I had to come up with a complaint I would have to say the sensitivity is a little fast for me but simply turning down my mouse DPI fixes it so 10/10.

You can change the sensitivity under settings, it's explained in the readme file. :)

You can cycle between the gadgets on the XBLA remaster by pressing B, or F in this case.

Would be amazing to see how fast some speed runners could blow through this version of the game.

Afraid not, it varies a lot from one computer to another. The audio in Xenia is old and needs a rework so it'll be fixed by then probably.

does this work for xbla perfect dark too? edit: lol should've scrolled down. bummer

Does the mouse injector also work for Perfect Dark’s XBLA port, just like the N64 patch, or is this a different case? I know Perfect Dark is still being figured out on Xenia.

Hey Grauslo00 I know this is random but if you could somehow contact the person that made this mousehook and let him know that it would be awesome if he could do this for perfect dark xbla as well, I saw in his notes for mousehook he was thinking about doing it!! Got confused which download files to download ( Been a long day ) but works perfectly.

Any chance to get this working with an older Xenia version? The game crashes on the newest version of Xenia but on the 05/18/2020 version, it works perfectly fine. Got an AMD Ryzen 5 2600 and a Radeon 5700XT.

Afraid not, you'd have to ask emoose about that but it'd mean to rebuild it on an older version.

I wish I could use this, but it crashes less than 30 seconds into loading a game. I have to use the build from June 2020 to get it to work at all. UPDATE: Upgrading to the latest AMD drivers fixed it.

Man if only I can play this on my iOS device. Online multi would be fire. If you had to put a price tag beside it. I would gladly pay it too

I just tried this yesterday, but I'm getting quite a bit of lag, even with Vsync off. Any ideas?

Someone mentioned this on a Discord server: In Xenia's config file, turn off vsync In the Nvidia control panel, add Xenia.exe and enable low-latency mode. I also forced vsync off but I don't know if that really does anything In Windows 10, to go settings -> Display -> scroll all the way down to Graphics settings -> add Xenia.exe -> Set it to "high performance"

@@Graslu00 Ok thanks, it helped a little but for some reason using an XBox one controller is faster with the normal Xenia build. It could be lag within the emulator or the mod.

@@Graslu00 It's definitely due to emulator. I've rebuild latest xenia-canary build with some tweaks to reduce/eliminate sound lag and it's working great. If someone needs it I can share my xenia-canary build

@@Graslu00 I actually found out that this is a gamma issue in Xenia. If you edit the settings file so the gamma matches your screen, the crushed blacks in Goldeneye are fixed.

The aim crosshair stays here but when i am playing with my xinput controller, it moves with sensitivity like the n64 version. Is there a way to make aiming similar to modern games where the camera moves but crosshair stays in the middle? Or if possible, locking crosshair like in the emulated series x version

Why no classic enemy faces?! That was such a part of the original atmosphere.

Keyboard & mouse is pretty cool idea but I decided to purchase RGH modded 360 so I can play on my large TV with controller while sitting in my comfy sofa. I think this is the way we all used to play back in a day :). An emulator like Xenia seems to perform great except for the sound lag that many of us currently have. I wouldn't mind trying this with the keyboard and mouse and sorting out sound lag issue in Xenia. If you have any info or instructions on 'how to get around all this' please share. Graslu00, once again thanks for your fantastic videos.

Sadly I don't think there's any way to fix audio delay on our own. Xenia is still early in development and needs its audio reworked so we'll have to wait until then.

I managed to disable the sway but there's always the aim crosshair which is still moving. aim_turn_distance doesn't seem to work properly.

@@yass4545 Yeah I don't think you can disable the aim crosshair movement. Aim turn distance is the amount required to move the crosshair so Bond turns around.

Is there an option to retain the off-center crosshair when turning like the N64 mouse injectors have? It helps keep the game from being too easy with mouse

Another cool mode I would like to see is something like Insurgency or Red Orchestra has, where the gun moves when you turn but never recenters on its own. That's an off-center aiming style that's more suited to the mouse I think and makes the Aim mode more useful.

How do you get the KF7 to fire that fast on Xenia? When I try to go full auto the fire rate drops to about half that speed you're showing. Are you using an nVIDIA card?

@graslu00 so after trying retro mode it is hella glitchy i mean off placed hats, random enemies missing heads. yeah def unfinished who knows maybe the retro mode was just there for testing but there are new retro heads for the guards that were not there before so who knows.

Yeah there's no point on using original graphics on this. Just play on 1964 if you're going to do that.

@@Graslu00 its interesting there are a few new exclusive head models for enemies in classic graphics, presumably of the new devs, of course no doak head model for obvious reasons. and rather than 4 heads loaded in a level randomly, you can see them all at the same time which is a nice improvement both in retro and modern graphics.

Enhanced Goldeneye game, Graslu00, keyboard-mouse. It's like a match made in heaven.

I have an hp stream 14 would that be able to run this?

How did you lock the reticle to the center of the screen? The one I downloaded doesn't do that despite having mouse control.

@@Graslu00 Hi. I set "ge_gun_sway = false" in Xenia.config but the gun reticle still moves when aiming. Is the setting not working? Did I do something wrong? Do I need to do something else? Thank you for any help.

Fantastic way to play the game if you ramp the difficulty up on 007 mode.

The audio is a little delayed in my game. Is there something I could do in the config file to fix it?

I have a Radeon 5700XT and therefore can only get Xenia build from May 2020 to work, and therefore can't get Mouse injector. Any hope for mouse injector for us 5700XT users?

Joy2key with the mouse injector should work right away. I'll try to use my adapter and an Xbox controller emulator and see if there's any luck.

i just try this with xpadder (it works), it's slow with the controller, but i use put 2 on the xenia.config.toml (i don't know how to adjust the mouse sensitivity), but it play better than 1964 emulator.

That's more of an issue with modern sticks than the games themselves.

Thank god I don't have much experience with emulators and the keyboard and mouse app mentioned in the xenia faq just seems to crash the xenia all the time.
