Uh, no. It's completely fine for a handheld port. It's sort of like comparing a PS4/Xbox One game to a PC version. The PS4/Xbox One version doesn't run as smooth, it doesn't look as good, and there's other limitations, but it's still playable enough for people to enjoy. Same thing applies to the Switch version.

TehGuard Pandemic studios (the devs of battlefront2) were bought out by EA between 2007 and 2009 and then closed. So i would assume they own the rights to. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Pandemic_Studios

Coodles Parks It is entirely possible that the rights for the battlefront games were left with the previous publisher which would be activision. So Activision may hold the rights for the battlefront games but EA holds the ONLY rights at the moment to make star wars games so IF i am right that means neither can make a remake without infringing serious copyright laws

Koyomi Araragi dude, klonoa was so much fun. those were the games that make me want to try 100%. i doubt it'd ever get a new game or even a remaster. heck I'd take it as a ps2 classic on the psn store so more people can enjoy how much fun that was

videogamedunkey I was thinking about mentioning it but it's on the Wii so it's not exactly the best place to get popularity, especially since the originals were on PlayStation (I will say though, the gameboy ones were pretty fun and they added some neat features not in the originals) another thing is I haven't played the remake so idk how good it is as a "remake" all i know is that supposedly most of Klonoa's lines are given to the blue orb guy (huepo?)

@@mjc0961 Kind of irrelevant to the comment thread at hand. I'm aware people are disappointed that they're not more than ports, but we from Day 1 knew that they were not remakes/remasters. We knew from Day 1 that they don't fit into anything that Dunkey was talking about here. The "problem" you mention, while valid overall, isn't relevant to this thread. There's no point in being "here after the 3D All Stars announcement" when from the get-go we knew they weren't remakes or remasters, unless you count very mild AI upscaled textures on a couple of things in 64. Honestly, though, I'm not even sure we can call them "ports" anymore, now that we know that it's all done through emulation. I'm not even sure that counts as a port.

They run at native hd (not upscaled), have improved textures, text was changed to an hd font, dialogue was changed whenever it mentions n64 controls to mention Switch controls instead. For Mario Galaxy they had to make it work with the Switch controller for motion controls.

if you could swap apes on the fly, many puzzles would be pretty much gone. alot of concept in donkey kong 64 is built on the fact that its not easy to reach the same place with every ape, and you have to find different ways to get there.

In the Spyro remaster, I was finally able to free this one dragon I was never able to get to as a kid because of the janky flying and rigid object detection. 11/10 best remaster ever
