When Roger said that he won’t die to Rayleigh, I immediately think of this quote, “When do you think people die? When they are shot through the heart by the bullet of a pistol? No. When they are ravaged by an incurable disease? No. When they drink a soup made from a poisonous mushroom!? No! It’s when… they are forgotten.” -Dr. Hiriluk. I love how Oda writes one piece. He links things from past episodes to future ones with so much detail and purpose.

I don't know if you guys caught this but Reyleigh said that Roger always did things in a flashy way, which is a callback to Buggy always talking about doing things flashily. Oda is a genius at referencing things from far back in the series!

Funny you should mention kizaru looking like a yakuza! His design is based off famous Japanese actor Kunie Tanaka who starred in many yakuza films. All the admirals are based off famous Japanese actors who Oda likes

If you go back to the end of the Twin Capes Arc (where crocus and laboon is) after the gang set sail, crocus said to himself "Are they the crew that we've been waiting for, huh roger?"

I agree. Their way of doing these videos are really enjoyable to watch. No pausing all the time to wonder stuff that will be explained in a same episode or even worse constant talking and yelling that makes you miss half of the show.

The craziest thing about op is that the info for the main goal/story is sprinkled slowly throughout 1000+ episodes. And every time we get answers to the main goal it raises more and more questions. Goated show

I love how Robin thought about her friends when Reyleigh talked about them not being ready as they are now! As if to say she cares about the journey with the crew as well as possibly their safety since what happened to Ohara could happen to them if they know too much and they aren't strong enough. But that might just be my interpretation.

You guys are so smart, smarter than me for sure, when I was watching these episodes back in 2011 all I did just laughing and crying like an idiot xD. between all the reactors in youtube that called themself One Piece fans, you guys are the one giving one piece most appreciation with the way you pay attention to all the little details. It's amazing how far the crew has come, especially Robin. Before joining the Straw Hats, she would have jumped at any chance to learn the true history of the world. Now, however, she knows she has her crew behind her, supporting her. Robin knows she can take her own journey and learn her own answers, because of the faith in and friendships she has with her crew.

An episode with such a heavy hitter and the chance to learn the goal of the series since chapter 1 is only possible because of the absolute enormity of the world we know and the world we don't yet know. The Pirate King's vice captain? "Already???" hahaha One Piece has so much story to offer whether it's 800 years ago, 400 years ago with Noland, 20ish years ago with Roger, or the current day. How can the answer of the history of 900 years be different to another group of people on a different journey to the same place? I guess we'll have to read/watch and find out! I like how you analyze One piece moments. It is like you are making an analysis paper for college. One Piece for me is like the Iliad. 20 years and we are into the right questions rather than the right answers. One piece is alive.

It's easy to get carried away and put Shanks above everyone, including his family, for Luffy. But keep in mind that we don't really know Luffy much at this point in the story, and as we go further in the series, you'll understand more of what and who are most important to Luffy, and there won't be any speculations or doubt.

What Roger implied was the thing he about to do, will shock the world to its core, and his will would be inherited by someone. His ideas will not die, because it will be inherited by the next generation, specifically Luffy in this case. Roger's will will be immortalized, will not be forget, therefore he will not die. That is my take on that scene.

no they're not, most of reactors do like 10 episodes per week, and the pacing become more slower as the show progresses.
