@@Deemo202 They don't care about canon when it comes to Death Battle. Why do you think they used Super Saiyan 4 in the first Goku vs. Superman battle? That being said, from what we have seen in Super Dragon Ball Heroes, both Time Patrol Goku and Capsule Corp Goku are far stronger than canon Goku.

At this point I'll be disappointed if it doesn't end with the two of them agreeing to do this again as a way to keep themselves at the top of their game.

They snubbed Goku SEVERELY in the 1st and 2nd battle, refusing to fully explain what the multipliers do to gokus defens and strength, they removed 90% of his techs to make him look easier and that final at the end was riddled with superman bias, plus if not superman who else cause no person is taking goku on.

@@wukong5342Now you’re just being. A fanboy. If anything they gave goku things he doesn’t use anymore like the power pole. They explained what multipliers do in the first battle so common sense would dictate that the same logic applies to the second battle. Obviously there are versions of goku that can beat Superman, but the current cannon Superman a so far stronger than the Superman that was used in the second fight it’s ridiculous.

I genuinely wonder if 3rd time's a charm. I love both characters, but I thought the lesson of the second fight was that Superman didn't have limits while Goku was always trying to overcome limits.

As a constant DBZ detractor.... if I understand Ultra Instinct correctly, it's now or never for Goku. A defensive form focused on dodging is the only thing that could give him a chance against Sups aside from a magical form. After all, you can't survive a blow from a being who's lifted the concept of infinity if he's not holding back, but if you avoid the punch in the first place, it doesn't matter if it's a one shot. So it's gonna come down to: Has Goku's reaction time improved enough since Round 2 to keep up with Sups, and does he have enough juice to actually damage him? If all the talk of Goku being a universe buster is true, then I do think with REPEATED hits he could take down Sups, provided Ultra Instict keeps him alive long enough to do it.

I honestly don't want to see this, not because I don't want to see Goku get beat, but because I'M TIRED OF THEM GOING TO THIS WELL JUST TO GET VIEWS, the real Goku v Superman happened in 2016 and was made by Hyorinjutsu.

Ending Perdiction: Goku's fighting as hard as he can in UI Mastered and puts all of his energy into one last attack. Superman is hurt, but nowhere near defeated. Like with Beerus and Cell, Goku is smart enough to understand this is someone he just can't beat. Superman refuses to kill Goku as he's already done so twice and didn't want to the first time. He talks to Goku and explains that he was never a threat to Earth. Partway through, Goku's stomach growls and he admits he's starving, suggesting they go get lunch. Cut to a restaurant where Superman subtly asks Batman to pay for the meal as Goku eats everything. Then he gets Goku's attention. Goku loves strong opponents and the Justice League is always looking for new members...

At what point can someone be “stronger” than superman? There are beings in the DC universe that are higher tier than superman, but they don’t get boosted an unlimited amount by the sun. Like Shazam. He’s “Superman tier” but never beats superman. Then there are characters above that (like the gods who gave Billy powers), but they are not infinitely strong. He clearly has a threshold that he can’t surpass unless he spends an extended period of time in the sun like Superman Prime (the gold one). Do his attacks get so strong that it drains more energy than he absorbs? What is the upper standard limit? At what point is it “above superman”?

Doesn't the Mafuba only work on evil beings, same limitation as the genki dama? I mean it translates to "demon sealing wave" and the seal is a religious demon seal too. Unless Superman's possessed by Trigon at some point, I don't think it's going to work.

@@Dark_Jaguar those moves are designed for evil people in mind but they've worked on non evil people too. Master Roshi sealed Turtle, Frost sealed Vegeta, and Piccolo sealed Kami and the Genki Dama nearly killed Goku when it was redirected at him.

@@Dark_Jaguar It worked on Master Roshi’s Turtle when Goku was practicing Mafuba the only difference is that he wasn’t actually tryna seal the Turtle the Turtle was literally a Live Target Practice Dummy and the turtle did in fact go inside the Container and came out cause Goku was not tryna seal the Master Roshi’s Turtle

They tend to scale anime characters very wrong, but Goku v superman was always one of the more accurate and concise ones, which is why I don’t really see the point in doing a 3rd one unless Goku just seals Superman away or even uses hakai on him, but I’m sure Superman has several layers of existence erasure resistance anyway

So far Michael Kovachs has voiced - Goku from Dragon Ball - N from Murder Drones - Rocky from Lackadaisy - Angel Dust from Hazbin Hotel - and Jax from the Amazing Digital Circus. Damn, he’s really talented.

So it's probably been brought up here before, but these 2 are the only death battle participants that are having a 3rd fight. And if the 2nd battle is any indication, this is a story all its own. Which means that unlike other battles these 2 have experience with each other. SO that means by now goku knows that Supes is vulnerable to magic and draws power from the sun. This knowledge is his only hope of victory.

its been confirmed that DB is treating the old fights as irrelevant and inaccurate. This battle will be treated as a first meeting as well as having more accurate calculations and feats

Not gonna lie, I'm actually excited to see Goku fighting Superman again. Granted it's probably gonna be the same outcome as the last two, but at least I'll get to see Ultra Instinct Goku fighting Superman.

I sort of figured they wouldn't do it again after them saying. "It doesn't matter how many times you put someone who can't be stopped vs. someone who pushes past limits, the first will always come out on top" Also....didn't king kai tell Goku that he couldn't ever beat him after the last fight? All signs point to this feeling a bit click baity. They just want a quick easy million + views. Still gonna be a fun fight, but does feel a bit cheesy after they said "we aren't doing this fight again, only to do it again"

I can see Kovach being brought back for Goku, but IF POSSIBLE, I would also like to see Lawrence return. What I'm more curious of is who will voice Superman. Like Masako, I hope it's the previous Superman VA (Michael Agrusso). Especially since unlike Goku, there hasn't been a solid enough precedent for anyone else to take Superman (Literally the only other was DevilArtemis for a DB X. Which.. I feel might be a lot unlikely, no offense to him).

Guys, heads up. Our boy Goku is going to lose but that’s okay. He’s loved more than superman by us. Superman is straight OP, he has lifted infinity, flown so fast in incalculable. Superman is just broken. But we love Goku because he keeps pushing his limits. So it’s okay if he loses, just treat this for what it is. The meta take is either DB is either nothing changed and DB wants a video with easy views. Or something did change and Goku takes the W. Or giving goku the W would be easy huge views and that's why it exists.

I expect Superman to still win for one big reason and it’s a narrative one. Narratively, Goku’s arc has always been “Can he become strong enough to beat this opponent?” Which historically, yes he can. But his is always an upward arc. Superman’s is never “Is Superman strong enough to win?” He’s so broken we know he can punch any bad guy into submission at his absolute peak. It’s “Can he save everyone?” I.e., what does he do and how does he handle it when you give him a problem he can’t just punch his way out of. Goku is always progressing to become stronger, where Superman is always strong enough for the situation he is in, it’s a matter of his capability and adaptability

@@strikingsarcophagus I think the point was more that Goku tends to lose fights because he gets outclassed and has to improve himself while Superman usually ends up in bad situations because he's outplanned, taken down by plot-convient material, or not willing to step back and let people suffer the consequences. In a fight where the only thing that matters is killing the opponent, there's not really anything stopping Supes from just, say, flying off into a blue sun and coming back fully healed and a hundred times stronger whenever Goku might have an edge. That might be where the whole "no limits" thing came from now that I think about it...

Goku needs a power boost from the first two times he lost in death battle that takes him even farther beyond then he is in the manga.

Remember when Vegeta was able to grab Whis, a supposed MASTER of UI, in resurrection F? Means there’s a flaw in UI.

I feel bad Goku gonna lose 3 times but I can’t say too much because he could somehow win once

So here is why Goku could defeat Superman: This is a battle between one character who essentially has no limits vs a character that rises to meet any limit. Goku would keep coming back until he finally is powerful enough to destroy Superman. The problem there is that there is nothing in the Dragon Ball lore that shows what that level of Goku would look like... yet.

Honestly I would've loved a Sentry vs Superman Death Battle. Oh well can't wait to see my favorite character bite it a third time.

I do hope that you do more research about this. As Mafuba technique is a Taoist Spell, a Magic system of Chinese/Buddhism Mythology. In other words, the Chi that they use is Magic aswell. Something that other characters proven to used like Granolah. Or also the fact that Goku's speed and power already surpass his SSB in TOP. As after his training with Merus, Goku casually beat up someone who was beating the whole Z Fighters(exept Vegeta), which also includes Android 17 and 18. And Gohan and Picollo commented that Goku is Moving so fast that they can't see him and sense his energy, and that using just his base form.

Whoever wins, we all know that by the end of the episode everyone will go insane

I'm calling the twist now: - Goku breaks out everything including his weird Susanoo form from the recent manga arcs, and is keeping up with Gold Superman. - Superman battles back, and has Goku on the ropes. - Vegeta instant transmissions in - "Kakarot, you clown. What's taking so long to beat a single Kryptonian?" - They tag team and kill Superman. - Stinger teases Goku and Vegeta versus the Justice League. Which Death Battle will have them job hard for, naturally. They'll say something stupid like Dr. Fate's magics can't be countered or Wonder Woman has unlimited stamina since she once fought a greek god for 10 million years without sleeping in some dumbass one-off story or something.

Goku destroys sun. Goku uses his Instant transmission to stop Superman from flying away. Goku has to dodge against Superman prime. And bam. Goku tires out Superman, converts his energy into a ki blast and kills him

I know a lot of people are not a fan of this match-up happening for a third time. But I'm hyped to see their take on this fight in a modern DB episode. It's gonna look so good, so I hope people still give the episode a chance and don't just go in hating it. But yeah, can't wait!

It all depends if they use normal Superman because Goku could beat a normal Superman but the chances are still low like stop putting Goku up against someone that's leagues above him I want Goku to win this time but I know h can't just look at the facts superman is to overpowered at this point

Goku and Superman both have limitless potential and a talent for self-improvement. That's why this is such a popular matchup. These videos are nothing more than ratings traps.

Use the guidebook statements. The U7 macrocosm contains multiple infinite constructs. It's not just x times larger than our own.

All the beerus vs goku universal shockwave feat references have led up to this.

Pretty sure we already know how this one will end, but shoot this takes me back to my college days when the FIRST Goku v Supes match dropped. What a time that was on the dorm having debates with the guys about who REALLY would've taken the W and what was wrong about the stats of Goku or which version of Superman is the strongest, etc. I love it!

I also remember this in my first year in college too and me and my friend had our votes for Goku but then I saw they were doing comic/manga feats too so it changed my perspective on everything

My main gripe was the fact that the Goku shown in the battle was not only voiced by TFS Goku's voice actor, but the way he acted seemed too much like TFS Goku rather than Goku from Z. Wow, hard to believe that he only went up to SS4 because this was years prior to Battle of Gods and Super... @@IamJerf

Okay... they've had several battles with entities aware of multiverse as a concept who aren't happy with the outcome of the battle. Bill Cypher--who apparently is in Wiz' head--Freiza and Rick Sanchez. On top of Silver Surfer and Martian Manhunter's battle being really really weird. With Rick Sanchez not doing any fourth wall breaks during his fight--despite it being fully noted as a thing he does in character Them ending on how the Instant transmission works, just has me thinking even harder that the real battle isn't going to be Goku and Supes I'm prepared for some kind of containment failure on the death battle stuff

I wonder if this will be as controversial as the superman Vs Goku battle 😅

In the second death battle they really slandered Superman by implying that he “isn’t meant to be relatable” or that his feats “don’t make sense” (in spite of several characters doing much more ridiculous things) because of the writing. That doesn’t sound like something a Superman fan would say.

Now that Superman’s “no limits argument” has been dismissed by Ben Singer and Goku has gotten a boost from the integration of DB Heroes, I wonder if this will truly be a case of third time is the charm?

Yeah, hopefully they'll just hand him the win to finally be done with this stupid fight.

I hope this fight will be better than the last one because, unlike the last one, ultra instinct has been out for a bit, and we understand more about it. It was kinda disappointing when they had Superman go up against Blue goku when Blue goku just became a thing, and we had no further information on it besides it being a new form

I feel like Goku’s boost in power and clarification of his abilities from the mistranslations, possibly couldn’t be enough unless they super nerf Superman

And probably that's what's going to happen. Or, they will use composite Goku (feats of DBS and Xeno version feats) versus regular Superman. What would be the point of repeating the same fight a 3rd time if the outcome will be the same?

@@painvillegaming4119 If they use Xeno Goku, they're going to use the strongest version of Superman, like Strange Visitor Superman, which would widen the gap even further.

Superman is still going to win but it'll be nice to see the animation updates.

@dutchdario635 not at all they literally keep on killing dbz characters from weak characters. But should of won from kirby. Goku black should of won against reverse flash. Deathbattle doesn't care for anime characters and more favorite towards dc lol

Battle 3 is going to be ridiculous. Both characters have gotten so much more ridiculously powerful since last time. But my money is still on the damn Kryptonian Boy Scout. 3/0 for Supes. Let's see.
