really? most people i’ve seen say Boomstick stomps he’s got access to Mjolnir, the Omnitrix, and questionable SPEEDFORCE. (pretty sure DB said the speedforce only works some of the time or something) i think Wiz’s best shot is clones hax or Booster Gold’s shield, but even then Boomstick should still have the edge

I have to give this it’s credit, Red’s suit was on point and the fight choreography was amazing. I was apprehensive when I saw it was live but my god it exceeded my expectations.

Okay, but seriously, that scene where Jason was getting horrid PTSD as Bucky was beating him with a crowbar was honestly THE highlight of the fight for me. It was damn chilling.

You are absolutely right. You can argue that Deathbattle doesn't have the constraints of needing to film for an entire season of fights, but the choreography here was far more dynamic and needed way less cutting around to feel impressive compared to many examples from Arrowverse shows.

I don't care who win but their explanation is lacking even I could have more solid argument with the evidence they provided. They should have included how Bucky shattered the cosmic cube. That thing can handle a beating from a normal hulk. It might be weaken but it is still quite durable. Bucky also survived a bomb near him. The shockwave alone would enough to kill him but there is also the terminal velocity and surviving in a cold temperature without any serum as an endurance feat. They even forgot to add that the people who taught the Winter Soldier also trained the Black Widow added to his resume of participating in an actual war.

There were a few things on Red Hood that weren't mentioned. I don't know too much about Bucky so it's possible he still could have won, but I feel like Jason was shorted. By this I mean they mentioned who Bucky could toe-to-toe with but not who Jason can fight. Jason's greatest weaknesses are his emotion and trauma and so it is sometimes debated how he would fight Batman if he wasn't emotionally compromised while doing so. Not to mention he did (slightly unfairly) defeat Lady Shiva and all the teachers that Talia sent him to train with. It was also not mentioned how the Lazarus Pit increased him physically and helped him heal faster. There are a few other things I can think of but this comment is long enough as it is.

Just because he injected venom means that he loses all of his speed, movement, intelligence, etc. it’s an enhancement buff not speed and durability nerf. Love the fighting but throughout the entire fight Jason had one more variety in how he could win against the winter solider.

Seems as though both sides wouldn’t care in this case since 1) DC has more wins than Marvel so marvel winning is a nice change of pace 2) DC fans already have shown how much they like Jason (by voting to kill him off)

That scene when Jason gets hit with the crowbar and he starts hearing joker's voices head was straight up brilliant that was such a dope scene I wonder whose idea it was

Coming back to this, I remember the hype surrounding this DB in particular, it was a crazy moment and although I wanted Red Hood to win, I now just appreciate the work put into this video, the actors and live action were awesome

This has me convinced that a movie about Red Hood suffering from Joker PTSD would be amazing.

I have to agree. Considering this was nowhere near a film fight scene budget (just the fight scene), the cinematography, choreographing, costumes, set design, acting, fx and sfx, and even the color grade are all on point. If this were to have been a movie with a Hollywood budget, it would've outright been better than MANY we get nowadays lol. At least, all the fight scenes would've been great.

I never expected live action. This is amazing guys, more stuff like this would be pretty cool.

I feel as though they purposefully left out the fact Jason had usually 2 guns, otherwise Bucky would lost in the beginning of the fight, just shoot him while Bucky blocks the main gun. Cause when was the last time you ever saw Jason with just 1 pistol? Never, that's when. That and I'm pretty sure Jason would carry around a device that can deactivate electronics, like a prosthetic arm. Cause, you know, Bruce would taught him to be prepared for electronics used by his enemies. But I guess Marvel is more popular so you gotta pander and forget such "insignificant" details.

My friend and I used to watch Death Battle in high school during our senior year forensics class when we finished early. Shared the earbud and everything. We brainstormed ideas for matchups and he wrote them down so he could remember to flood comment sections with them so they might get noticed. He died a year after we graduated, in a hit and run accident. I hadn’t seen him in a long time before that, life just kinda separates you after you graduate. I just hope he’d be happy to know that Winter Soldier vs Red Hood, a fight we thought of in class just over 5 years ago, actually got made.

A couple things for redhood... 1. I think i read somewhere that the venom redhood uses is a more cleaner version, that doesn't make redhood a mindless brute, but gives the strength to be one. 2. He could use his suits built in taser on winter soldier. Before anyone says anything about it, this "taser" had worked on an amazon. 3. Redhood was trained by better fighters in general. 4. His second pisto.l 5. Because of the lazerus pit, jason should have be enhanced. = one sided fight

Depending on the type of wood and ammo it is possible. Hollowpoint bullets (which are quite common) aren't made for penetration, they're made for damaging a target's internal organs. And tables are often made a sturdier wood and some have metal or other solid materials making up the top or base for extra strength.

From what I know Batman didn't avoid killing enemies based on any deep moral code. Batman avoided killing enemies because he knew that once he started he didn't know when or where he'd stop he'd stop. He didn't know where he'd draw the line. What crimes would he punish by death and what crimes wouldn't he?

it's what heroes do it's in every movie, comic, and crap you know, also it's in red hood's character. when jason first located bruce, he could've easily killed him but decided against it since he wouldn't know it was actually jason, for all bruce would've known is that the batmobile had a malfunction and exploded for no reason. so instead, jason decided to torment bruce for multiple years, train a crap ton, and then finally fight him only to fail.

Bucky he doesn't know from a can of paint so y would he not just kill him? Not to mention I'm not seeing the body taser Jason uses or the fact that he is the physically strongest robin and definitely a better fighter than winter soldier.

I like how Bucky hitting him with the crowbar sparked Jason’s ptsd. Also, I almost thought the fight was going to end with a twist because of how anticlimactic that death was. Edit: Just so people know, I love the death battle but the ending was so out of nowhere and that helped with the music randomly picking up and Bucky turning around had me think there was going to be more at the end.

@@nicklegos Not really because it wasn't the crowbar that did him in, Jason then used the Venom to kick Bucky around for a bit before Bucky's metal arm turned the tables fair and square. Using what happened in the fight - which has been stated to be nothing more than entertainment that has nothing to do with the research and/or verdict - to argue why the loser should win is silly.

Wow, I think this is the first time I saw a live-action version of a death battle! Bravo!

Amazingly done!! Truly a death battle for the record books.

Here's a better ending line: "Jason thought it was all good in the hood, but Bucky left him cold."

That was the most anticlimactic end to a Death Battle I've seen in years.

This obviously wouldn't work for every death battle, but I have to say, that fight scene was phenomenal. The choreography, cinematography, and costumes were arguably beyond professional. I'd love to see more of this style in the future.

The fact that Bucky didn’t snipe Jason while he was eating with his helmet off is almost comical...u see how both could have killed each other. A long time ago but they didn’t? That’s cuz it wouldn’t be any fun if they did it that way it’s all about entertainment

I'm glad this one felt it could've gone either way. These 2 are one of those arguments that can keep going because of just how similar in kit they are

@@GigaChadh976 the issue with that line of logic is it theoretically could be that the feat wouldn't count due to a death battle reason like it not reflecting Red Hood at his prime. Something that is supported by the fact Red Hood implies that isn't normally supposed to be possible. If he said the knife was normally supposed give way before the hood then the feat shouldn't count. Edit: I want to be clear if the person were to show normally the hood breaks knifes like what I think the DB crew was trying to get across with showing WS having weapons striking him break then there isn't even a point of mentioning the panel whatsoever. However the hood seems weaker than what they compared it to and all the RH comics I've read so I think that was their point. Though the OP is right to say they sorta ignore that even the panel applies normally the hood is far more knife resistant than they say If the reason the knife worked was because the helmet was damaged or something it wouldn't count like how they wouldn't put a fighter in with an arbitrary weakened condition.

I don't care who win but their explanation is lacking even I could have more solid argument with the evidence they provided. They should have included how Bucky shattered the cosmic cube. That thing can handle a beating from a normal hulk. It might be weaken but it is still quite durable. Bucky also survived a bomb near him. The shockwave alone would enough to kill him but there is also the terminal velocity and surviving in a cold temperature as an endurance feat. They even forgot to add that the people who taught the Winter Soldier also trained the Black Widow added to his resume of participating in an actual war.
