Sisters one very similar to Spearhead battle force. And the fact that one is still in stock in many places says a lot about how well it sold.

honestly, ive been looking to get into 40k for a while, if i can get a combat patrol and battleforce, i might start with some genestealer cults (one of the three factions im interested in)

Yeah, both the CP and the BF for Sisters of Battle is pretty bad, especially when compared to what CSC is getting. That being said, the Sisters of Battle box has one redeeming factor: It is very good if you want to get into one of new detachments which is all about the flying units. Thing is though, as it is so singularly focused, it will only be appealing to a specific part of the the SoB players. As a Sisters player myself it is pretty simple: I am not buying any of their new boxes. I guess that leaves me more money for my other 'addiction' AoS :P

It will probably come out after the price increases, but if the battle force goes up by x%, the individual kits will go up by x% so the savings % should be close to the same.

Just to say, and it's already been talking over reddit, but even if the picture shows 2 Rockgrinders, the article only speaks of one inside the box, and the photo is just to show that you can build both ! Still a great box either way i'm buying it ^^' But it wills remove a chunk of points ^^'

Given the GSC combat patrol change, and the fact these Battleforces are produced in such low numbers they're pretty much going to be a myth - i'm not sure i'll subscribe to them wanting to push GSC. Which is shame, it's a fun faction with excellent lore and solid theme. Oddly the models listed in the Hachette "Combat Patrol" magazine are the older combat patrols, so at some point there's likely to be a reasonable amount of GSC stuff turning up on ebay from that. The discount on the Sisters box is so low it's pretty much matches buying stuff from a discount reseller (assuming you pay full price for the battleforce), so you'll have to really want the new character (and never have had bought the old combat patrol, since it had the flyers in that too). Although assuming the Zeph/Seraphim can still be fielded in 10s in the Codex you could put 60 on the board (or 120 if the detachment makes them Battleline). No idea WHY anyone would want that, but would make for a pretty epic looking army.

I've found 2 weeks before actual release all combat patrols/battleforce miniatures are on ebay (UK) auction starting 99p. Or other sellers at a high mark up. Characters are usually between 10-15£. Seraphim are around 15£ every time. Only thing that holds prices are tanks.

Great video thanks for doing this! I would love to start a GC army with this box but I suspect it will sell out within a few minutes...
