Nala had a freak accident while running to catch her ball. She slipped a disk in her spine and that rendered her instantly quadriplegic. She lost all sensations quite instantly. The vet advised that there was unfortunately no options for surgery or recovery. It has been 8 weeks now and we all miss her so terribly. We still can't believe what happened. Watching these videos with footage of Nala is so lovely to see her doing what she loved. @@matthiasweigel311

Great job Scott and Judy, looks excellent. Not meaning to open old wounds but it was nice seeing Nala making a cameo appearance. The flooring looks mint doesn't it, It's good to finally get the work bench in the bedroom in time for Christmas isn't it haha. That vinyl flooring came up great, I wouldn't have been able to walk for a week if I tried laying that, I took the easy way out with our "Shouse" and just painted the concrete. I fully appreciate the "First flush" we used a drop toilet for a long time until we got our sewerage treatment system installed, people who used it used to say it had the best toilet view they had ever experienced, it had no door on the little building I had over it, and it faced the mountains behind the property 😁

Well Scotty. You've done it again. The floor looks terrific mate, not bad for first timer. When I was a little tacker I was always told, Do it once, Do it right. I reckon by the way you do things mate you had it flogged into you too. What a difference all the little bits make. I don't think the cook stopped smiling for the whole of the show, at least the part she was in. Smilin' like a cat in a fish shop. Well done to the pair of yuz'.

The light fixture looks great, You could hollow it out from the top, it would make it lighter, You could hide the Cord and you could stick an LED strip in there to add more light facing up.

Nice. I've a shed I put up that hasn't got power run to it, and your last video and a older one from Mighty Car Mods has me considering setting up a solar and battery system for its power, and as an additional backup for my backup generator (or the generator becoming the backup backup) and just have to figure in the latitude and winter loss of light into the equations before deciding on what to do. Small wind generation is a possibility too, being near the lake, we do get some wind a lot of the time. I like that light bar, a lot. Very you.

I have to admit I love our power system. There is a number of ways you can get the power you need, some quite than others. I like the idea of the wind generator as an additional means of recharging during those times the sun doesn't quite do the job. Many thanks!!

That floor looks warm and inviting . Also, the black hardware on the white door looks slick. The tannins in your water supply could be mitigated with gutter leaf guards I suppose, have you got a plan for that Scott? PLEASE tell the Mrs. to protect her feet when cooking/baking in the kitchen, by wearing footwear that will completely cover the top of the foot! Happy Holidays. Cheers.

Awesome man, enjoy the home.

It is turning out just great! One thought, burning natural gas or propane or stuff like that creates a lot of water vapor. Saw a video a couple of years ago that a off grid family had installed a gas burning heater without proper ventilation for the water vapor and got condensation problems from it. A gas heater is not the same as a stove, and it was in a colder climate so it ran for long periods of time but still it might cause some issues. And burning gas also produce some corbon monoxide, carboniferous whatever or I dont know, but even a great man cant think of everything so just thougt to mention it. Anyways love to se this project taking shape! The flooring although fake looked really good, nice upgrade to concrete! Great thanks!

Thanks Dan for highlighting the issues about the gas. We'll keep an eye on it but we have a lot of ventilation to combat issues. The floor is a great upgrade form the concrete, has that homely fee to it. All the best!

Custion for your knee's there Scott. Have done many a floating floor, and tongue and groove flooring, but never the vinyl flooring. Good job on the kitchen light, my dad made a lot of chandlers lights, all out of wood, he turned on his wood lathe and windmill postboxes. All the best for Christmas and the new year Scott and Judy.
